It's not me who says that this new remastered edition is quieter than the original album. If I understand, these people spread false informations since Intrada retained the original album levels and EQ for the film presentation. You'll have to tell me more. By different EQ level are you saying there's more or less bass, for example, in the film presentation vs the album presentation? As far as we can tell they match. I can't tell you more since I don't have the new remastered edition. It's not me who said that the film presentation sounded quieter than the original album. I think the poster was more concerned about the levels than the EQ. Personally, I have the first edition which is absolutely perfect, and can't be better, with everything that makes Intrada a very special label for me (the only one which preserves the dynamic range of the recordings). Thank you for your reply. I hope the customers of this new edition will be pleased. I must say that I would be curious to hear it, but I have other titles to buy first (most released by Intrada). Sounds like a someone's a troll -- the levels on the new edition match. That was the point of this new master. But I agree with you, I never had an issue with the first edition -- it was perfect to me. I liked the full dynamic range.

I know everyone has been going around about this...but, as I've been listening to this all weekend (and going back to my original cd from years ago)...if you were ok with the sound levels on the original, you'll be fine with this version...seriously. Also, I've been going back and forth between this and the original...and this new version does sound better...fuller somehow...I can hear little details I've never noticed before...and the sound space feels more expansive...but I also ripped the original CD at a slightly lower bitrate...I need to dig it out and re-rip it into the higher birtrate...because if it makes THAT much difference...I may have to go back and re-rip A LOT of CDs that I ripped in the earlier days of MP3-ish times! Anyway, this is a great release...so glad Intrada re-released it for those of us who missed it the first time...all these expanded/complete Horner scores are a balm to my weary soul these days.

I appreciate that you're sharing your thoughts, but I'm confused by two points: - you say "original" quite a few times, do you mean the original Hollywood Records soundtrack album CD? Or the original Intrada release from 2016? - if you're comparing the new Intrada CD to a compressed rip of either of them, I don't really know if there's any value in the comparison.

Daaamn sold out already? Yikes!! I never expected that to happen so soon! This is one of my top 10 favorite scores ever, so I just raced to Screen Archives and bought a copy there. I have the original Intrada release, and the original, original Hollywood Records CD.

Will it be repressed soon? From the Intrada website: (Temporarily out of stock) Sorry but we do not know when this title will be back in stock. We will be working as quickly as possible to get this back in stock and will post updates here as soon as we have more information on when the repressing will be ready!

The Hollywood Records version...sorry if that was unclear...it does get confusing!
