i can't believe it's finally happening! I'm going to listen the shit out of those "forehead sweat" tracks. like everything about the 11th season, it was a vast improvement over 10, music included.

i'm also down for more mccreary, that guy's a bit out of control these days.

P.s without giving anything away, is the 500th LLL release still on the cards for July?

Yes and it's a huge one worthy of our 500th release. So excited about this

I predict MV will rue the day he prematurely announced a special release to mark number 500!

" Hey MV. Can I give us a hint...movie or tv? 60s or 70s?
wink

MV,

How often will -- if you even know -- the Quinn Martin volumes come?

And the colossal disappointment expressed by a few over the announcement because it won't live up to their expectations. Remember the Black Friday when MV announced two "epics" getting an expansion and then people argued Dances with Wolves and Braveheart weren't epics.

Yeah, the famous multi-Oscar-winning three hour long movies with large scale battles and big casts and big vistas, and sweeping orchestral scores... that was pretty hilarious. smile

How about number of discs and price tag (and maybe pressing quantity, if you’re feeling generous) on the big 500th release, MV? Like you’ve given in the past for Black Friday titles, so we can budget...

LLL 500th Release: Licence to Kill 30th Anniversary Edition (here's hoping)

Well according to Empire's Top 500 movies of all time list, the film at #1 has been something that LLL has expressed interest in doing over the years. In previous posts there were also thoughts of a 1,2,3 set.

https://www.imdb.com/list/ls003073623/

But as we all know, I'm always wrong.

It will probably be a Fluppy Dogs piano album. Which I'd buy the hell out of. big grin

surly this 500th release can only be a complete box set of Ernest movie scores. i lost count of all is direct to video antics but that would be one massive set.

That would also be pretty cool, Verne!

and then people argued Dances with Wolves and Braveheart weren't epics.

People arguing that those two movies, for better or worse, are not "epics" is still something I can't wrap my mind around.

Is Jason and the Argonauts an epic? The story of the Golden Fleece is undoubtedly one of the most epic in the entire history of literature.
What is missing from the film Jason and the Argonauts that prevents it being an epic?

LLL 500th Release: Licence to Kill 30th Anniversary Edition (here's hoping)

While I'd like that, that sure doesn't sound like something most would consider a huge release.

People aren't thinking it's "Top Gun"? I remember back when there used to be not-so-vague hints surrounding a potential release a while back (or I was way off base in my decoding of those hints), but it sounded like something was holding it back. I don't recall if anything was ever said, but every time I see talk about this huge 500th release, it's the first thing that pops into my mind.

It's going to be something that'll leave some people cold while making others leap to the "ORDER" button.

I'm going to go out on a limb (or should it be LEM...?) and guess that it's From the Earth to the Moon, timed nicely for the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 in July. The 500th release for a 50th anniversary has a nice ring to it. Seems to fit the description of a "huge one worthy of our 500th release" -- and definitely worth being excited for, if true! smile
