Mike Matessino is a co-producer on this CD. Careful listening and Pro Tools help when re-creating albums. Much of the "Hot Water" album take was an un-circled take but I knew exactly what to listen for and I eventually found it. Neil How is Pro Tools used in such situation ? It's the software we use to edit and compare things. It's extremely flexible. Mike also mixes in Pro Tools. As I type this I'm working on an album in Pro Tools right now! Neil

oh man, those two source cues!! "Disc 1 also interpolates the work of two other composers, who stepped in when Hyams requested changes but Goldsmith was unavailable: Morton Stevens, who adapted Goldsmith’s thematic material for the film’s climactic fight on the exterior of the station (“The Last Battle [Broken Hose]”),? I've got to confess I have a little issue here. Yes, Morton did use a bit of Goldsmith's theme, but as I recall his piece really is mostly HIM (bits from his score to THE GREAT WHITE are in it), but I don't seem to recall him using very much of Goldsmith's music beyond a quote of the tune.. oh man, those two source cues!! "Disc 1 also interpolates the work of two other composers, who stepped in when Hyams requested changes but Goldsmith was unavailable: Morton Stevens, who adapted Goldsmith’s thematic material for the film’s climactic fight on the exterior of the station (“The Last Battle [Broken Hose]”), and Michael Boddicker, who wrote and recorded the film’s rec room source music. Disc 1 also features a bonus section including Goldsmith’s original versions of these sequences as well as other alternates." does that mean Goldsmith scored the climatic battle and it's now available? Or is just refering for the REC ROOM cues? Goldsmith's unused cue "Released" was meant to score the lead-up to the final battle but in his spotting the hand-to-hand stuff was unscored. Lukas

Totally ordered. If labels like FSM, LLL, Varese and Intrada keep this up, I won't give a flyng fart if we get no great new scores for 2010. We've already gotten some awesome re-release gems this year. Thanks FSM!

Gulp again! I think we are being spoiled bigtime Thank you again Lukas, FSM & SAE team. We ARE spoiled. And after years... no, DECADES of truncated albums with the best cues missing, it's about time! Thank you again, FSM and all those labels out there dedicated to releasing these gems.

It never ends! Sold! I'll say one thing about Peter Hyams. More definitive soundtracks have been produced for his films (by FSM, VS, and Intrada) than for Lucas and Spielberg! Hey, don't you go leaving Kritzerland out -- they just released the world premiere of the complete score to Hyam's first film, Busting, by the unsung master Billy Goldenberg! Yavar
