And that's why I was talking about the "business lie" of Neil S. Bulk, MV and the label. Heck the Bond album is going to come out next week, they're going to say there are no Bonds on the horizon. Exactly as they were alleging 2 or 3 months ago. And I understand this perfectly and have no problem with it, because I know the next Bonds will be sooner rather than later.

More expanded 007's, please !

Adam, please quit it with the "I told you they were lying" bullshit.

It's offensive and embarrassing.

At the time of that podcast, what Neil Bulk said was absolutely true, and I ask you to go back and listen to what he said.

The whole problem with this community is people remembering half of what people said, adding their own assumptions, misquoting them, and creating bullshit urban myths.

That's how this bullshit "the Moonraker tapes are lost" thing started, too.

I remind you what Neil said — that at the time of that podcast, they weren't working on another Bond, but that could change with one phone call.

You have absolutely no basis for calling that a lie.

Cheers

Even a child knows that preparing and releasing such an album is many months of work (and more months for the final project to be accepted by decision-makers) and this podcast was what, 2 months ago? it's just normal business practice not to brag about such things in advance. I know they're working on the next Bonds, and their denials won't change my love for the label. I have published and produced soundtracks on CD in my country, so I know why certain things have to be kept quiet or denied.

Quit it, Adam.

That podcast was 9 months ago.

I don't dount that Neil expected they'd be doing more Bonds.

But I also don't doubt that the nothing had been kicked off at that time.

If the parties who are needed to get something out are motivated, these things can happen in a few months.

The problem with most soundtrack releases is that they are initiated by the labels themselves and they have to wait on cooperation and approvals from parties who are not necessarily interested, and that can drag it out for years.

When the Bond people themselves are driving things, as Neil revealed was the case, it's very different.

Cheers

Yes, that's why I always say, be patient, the expanded Bonds will come out sooner than you think cool

Could it be a pair of Golden Bonds do we think? Goldfinger and The Man With the Golden Gun? Both significant birthdays (60 and 50), both Barry, both due an expansion and remaster...

It's very exciting. Just need them to get a copy of the Hook 3 disc set in stock again before next week... !!

To be honest, the Goldfinger 60TH is at the bottom of my expanded Bond wish list - unlike, for example, TMWTGG 50TH - but will of course be the first to make a purchase.

Oh good. big grin

Great to know this is how you prattle on when it's at the bottom of your list. Reaching for that ignore button now on the off-chance anything you actually do want comes out. Whole new levels of insufferable.

Nice one LLL! Exciting times smile

Suppose it's NOT a Bond title, but they're launching a European outlet that people have begging for with a sketchbook-type release devoted to Hans Zimmer's masterpiece - the theme for Going For Gold, demos, an' all.

It's a Bond score, definitely.

Announced on the Goldfinger 60th Birthday day and styled with original Goldfinger poster font.

cool

This guy.

I do like the 2003 release, I thought it was a great presentation of the score, but curious about the missing music LLL might include.

If the Goldfinger master elements remain elusive, YouTuber Pike Bishop did a terrific job (IMO) of reconstructing the missing musical cues.

Completely agree - he's done a great job by ear no less.

What’s missing from Goldfinger? I do hope it’s Golden Gun though.

Around 10-11 minutes.

But I would also prefer TMWTGG - more important music is missing.

Has anybody mentioned finding the missing elements?

There isn't much missing tbf.

The source cue in the bar in the pre-title sequence, the little piece of Kentucky stud music, I think there's a short cue missing from the golf scene and that's about it?? It's not my favourite Bond film, I'll happily defer to others such as Stephen W who will undoubtedly know to the second!
