Rats. What is. missing from the deluxe Hellboy II?

Is is sufficient to justify acquiring the original CD?

There's some discussion both here and JWFan.com though no specific breakdown like they usually do over at the later site. It's not really much -- maybe amounting to a few minutes -- but from my own personal checking it's hard to tell exactly since the cues were recut somewhat so it's not a straightforward 1:1.

Thanks.

I love this release!!! Sounds wonderful and finally has the missing pieces smile

Are there more Herrmann-like cues.

Just wondering if anyone in the UK has received this CD? I’ve not received a shipping notification, so I assume there has been a short delay.

I've not received it, no shipping notification neither. Says in stock as well.

Placed my order on 30 April and despite the original order confirmation I've not heard anything since.

It's also costing £6.99 for postage of 3 CDs!

It's been quite poor a service since they re-opened - my first order took ages too - I hope they get their act together soon.

Just hope it doesn't take 8 YEARS!!! to arrive, like this title took to come to fruition (per producer Lukas in another thread).

And there was me thinking Varese had rattled this perp title off over a quiet weekend wink

Maybe, it took 8 years to correct the faults they kept finding before release. Boom!

I messaged them though the website and tweeted Varese earlier today, still waiting for a response.

I got mine in a decent time - it's also on Spotify!

I noticed it's on Spotify a few days ago and some of the initial unreleased bits are fine I guess, but it was hardly an essential expansion. I never got the OST so I'll likely end up getting this at some point, but I'm happy streaming for the moment.

The thing stopping me is the UK store's price, and uncertainty about whether they're actually shipping it yet - my reason for doubt being that upon announcement the US store said it was a pre-order while the UK store didn't. Sounds like maybe it still isn't.

And at £20 + postage we're paying waaay more than US customers are (I did a mock order a while back and it came up to something like 20-25% premium). I ordered HTTYD:HW from the US because all-in it was a few £s cheaper. How can they get it so wrong?

I liked the original release and was skeptical whether this expanded version could add something.

Now that I listened to this new CD I am absolutely delighted to have bought it. Silvestri´s score now gets the chance to give that slow burn, Hermannesque atmosphere its due. And the sound is pristine.

Absolutely loving this release!

Has anyone noticed what kind of shrink wrap your copy was? My copy seems that it not factory wrapped or the wrap is not thick as it should be.

Same here. it would also probably explain the mangled booklet I received.

Thought it was just me. Happened to me with the latest batch of City Hall as well. Something feels off. Reached out to JaQue from their customer 'service' to find out what is going on.

Update: got a reply from their customer "service" rep. today. Short summary: "We can't help and we don't know of anyone who can shed a light or be of assistance. No name, no e-mail. Bye."

I don't think I ever paid attention to what kind of shrink wrap is used on a CD that I've bought. Seems like a weird thing to obsess about roll eyes

Not obsessing. But if resealed with damaged booklets in them (which happened twice) to me it's a valid question. But hey, please forgive me for my 2 cents on the topic. wink
