I'm glad for Silvestri's success in every and all arenas, but I've long since tired of the endless BACK TO THE FUTURE musical updates on his Instagram account. The first Silvestri to enter my collection since READY PLAYER ONE in 2018. Nice to still have composers around who have a signature voice you can tell a mile off. This is the kind of film music I can immediately love. It reminds me of those eras in which film music was supposed to be "noticeable". Of course, many reviewers now find it "treacly" and "overpowering". I am grateful that Zemeckis still makes this kind of movie and wants Silvestri to score it like this.
