It could be: Disc 1: the used film score Disc 2: the original album of the used film score Disc 3: the rejected film score So don't rule out scores under 75 minutes. Not a genuine guess, but as a John Barry and Elmer Bernstein fan who didn't buy Varese's Elmer box set, THE SCARLET LETTER would be cool. That said, I can't see any justification for putting the original film score and original album presentation out for that one. FRENZY would be amazing, but as there's no original album to put out and I can't imagine either score being over 75 minutes, it won't be that. LEGEND wouldn't make sense as it's been done too recently. Could it be two editions of THE BLUE MAX, as that hasn't had enough releases and two editions at the same time could be needed to catch up? (I'M JUST KIDDING!) LIFEFORCE? If it was two scores, one film, one composer, I'd dare to dream THE COTTON CLUB: first take on the score, revised take on the score, and original album. But, dagnabit, it's two composers, so not that. WHAT DREAMS MAY COME would be cool, although Morricone wasn't listed as one of the label's upcoming composers for this year. Cheers

Roger Feigelson writes: While it's too soon to reveal the albums, here's some info: 2 albums, 1 film, 2 composers, 3 discs. http://www.intrada.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8955 Let the flailing begin! How bout "Gladiator"? It had two albums, the original soundrack and the "More Music from..." album. Two composers, Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard The complete score + alternates would be around 3 discs

So I would read this as: 2 Albums (So two different releases, you can get either independently.) 1 Film. (So it sounds like two scores for one film, so possibly a rejected score, or a score composed for a different region.) 3 Discs (So one score considerably longer than the other, or containing a lot of extras.) FRENZY with scores by Henry Mancini and Ron Goodwyn would be really cool, but I don't see how that could be 3CDs? LIFEFORCE has been released before, but it's been a while, so it could be overdue for a re-release/makeover. Again, I don't know if there's enough material for 3CDs... Kamen's score was not a "full" score, so I don't see that as a stand alone album (unlike, say, Craig Safan's WOLFEN, which could stand perfectly well as a stand alone release.) KING KONG (2005) would knock this out of the ballpark, that would be quite a surprise. Likewise, WHAT DREAMS MAY COME would also know this out of the ballpark, and would also be quite a surprise.

Gladiator (1992) with "finally" Brad Fiedels score and Jerry Goldsmiths rejected (along with the original soundtrack that was released with songs to add up)

KING KONG (2005) would knock this out of the ballpark, that would be quite a surprise. Do we know how much music Shore recorded? I know it was only some of it, nowhere close to the whole. Shore wrote 80mins, but only 1hour of that was recorded.

Mike's Murder. 2 albums and 2 composers: Joe Jackson and john Barry. Can't see 3 CDs needed, though.

J.N.H.'s replacement score to "King Kong" alone with alternates and un-used scoring and film versions + CD versions, would take 3CD's. Some cues on the boot' have two alternates alone. I'd also rule out "Troy", as the "promo" of Yared's score plus un-used song, is already an almost-full CD and reportedly there was a little scoring left off that "promo".

FRENZY and WHAT DREAMS MAY COME are some of the most enticing guesses, for me. The former would fit the fact that Mancini was on Roger's list, and the latter would fit the fact that Kamen was on Roger's list. Only problem is that Ron Goodwin and Ennio Morricone were not mentioned the last time Roger gave us a list of upcoming composers... I guess another problem is that I don't see how either title would add up to three discs of material. Nicolai's LIFEFORCE guess would cover both Mancini and Kamen of course, but I just can't fathom that Intrada would release Kamen's work on a separate disc... he only wrote "additional music" and IMO it just wouldn't work well as a totally standalone album. But maybe I'm wrong! We know that SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES was successful for Intrada twice previously, with their excellent releaes of both the Horner and Delerue scores. Maybe a reissue of these, but with the Horner score now released complete on one disc, plus Horner's album arrangement (which he did for Intrada) on a second disc? Yavar
