I just picked up:

1) Rooster Cogburn (based on the soundclips)
2) Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe (based on the soundclips)
3) Georges Delerue: the Complete London Sessions (which can be found in a separate sale section)

I've been using my stimulus money to stimulate the crap out of Intrada, La La Land, and Varese. I assume a lot of people are doing the same thing.

I've been noticing a lot of bargain bin soundtrack CDs are jazz inspired scores. Soundtrack collectors don't seem to be into jazz based scores (I know I'm not). Soundtrack collectors also appear not to be risk takers so good luck with Varese ever getting rid of some of these CDs. Just look at all of the Movie Score Media CDs that Screen Archives can't seem to give away. Tons of good scores going for 45 cents. Heck they are worth it now just for the precious jewel cases that are getting hard to find.

I find frustrating that everytime I check DRACULA by John Williams on International Shop, its price gets higher. How comes? Also LOONEY TUNES BACK IN ACTION by Jerry Goldsmith is more expensive now.

Really disappointed that Now You See Me 2 and Kung Fu Panda 2 were gone, but at least I managed to get Rooster Cogburn.

Without doing any checking of the others for availability, may I recommend (as long as they're available):

Almost an Angel
The Big Fix
The Good German
Heathers
Spies Like Us
Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe?
Winged Migration

Then collectors are fools missing the real musical deals.

I find most types of jazz fascinating in old-school movies or iconic TV series I'll never part with those, also big-band artists that made that cross-over appeal that's really unforgettable - you don't get much jazz today in modern scores that is a crying shame as its an effective skill in movies & works very-well for most genres & characteristics - maybe some composers don't like it based on bizarre techniques or technical players of it - it should be used a lot more its neglected big-time!

Has anyone got shipping confirmation?

Not yet. Order submitted to the US store about 10 minutes after the sale was announced.
Maybe this coming week ...

I ordered from Varese two weeks ago and it took them 7 days to fulfill it... but 9 days is really strange confused

At least the pre-shipment info was sent to USPS and I've got tracking numbers. Now the packages "only" have to actually reach post office.

They've not even sent me the pre-shipment info yet. It ain't like my order was huge or anything. I live in the U.S. Gainfully employed. No criminal record. We have two cats. They're housebroken. They're quiet. We keep the yard mowed, nice and clean. I dunno what the delay is * shrugs*

Forget it, Jake. It's Varese.

Yeah, I ordered three titles (Rooster Cogburn, Almost An Angel, and Who Is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe?) on 05/27, but have only received an order confirmation so far. I'm hoping that they get shipped out sometime this week as we're going on vacation soon. And, our USPS carrier likes to leave small packages on the ground in front of the mailbox for some strange reason...even though they'll easily fit in. frown

Wow! And I thought that I'm the only "lucky" person, who ordered from US-Varese (as intl store didn't have Big Fix in-stock at time I placed order). But now it's sad that I am not alone.
Plus they plans to do another batch, but still not shipped packages from sale.... Let's me say - when Todd did shipping duties, everything was almost perfect.

My order was pretty big (9 CDs), so I expected a delay. Got a shipment notice yesterday.

I ordered three CDs and still haven't received a shipping notice. Sent them an e-mail yesterday. Based on this thread it sounds like they are slowly shipping out more orders this week so I expect to get a shipping notice soon.
