I hate to be the one to say this but the customer base for 60s tv sets are dwindling. We love producing these sets but we know there is only so much of a market for them. I for one would like to express thanks to you for continuing to do them anyway! And correct me if I'm wrong MV, but haven't you said that you're considering a Volume 2 for Wild Wild West, since V1 did well enough to sell out? I'm sorry to hear (again) about how disappointing sales were for Lost in Space. Frankly I'm surprised (yet impressed) you even went to the huge expense of a definitive complete set for that series, when the 2 CD set had to be sold off at clearance prices. And that set has more than one JOHN WILLIAMS sci-fi score on it! Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea has no Williams and only one Jerry Goldsmith score. I'm surprised in this day and age why anyone would expect more than a four (or maybe six, tops) disc set, at least for an initial volume. Those of you who want MORE Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea music out there, I bet nothing would make that argument more effectively than this set selling out like Wild Wild West did! But if a 4 disc set can't manage to sell out at 1000 copies, then I guarantee you a 12 disc (and much more expensive) set isn't going to! So help make this one sell out and see what happens then. It wouldn't be the first time LLL produced a Volume 2 for a TV series...they've done that quite a few times, in fact. I'm sure that Jeff and Neil would me more than happy to work on another volume (assuming enough surviving tapes exist, of course). I'll be honest about where I am coming from personally: I've got no nostalgic connection to this series. I'm buying this because I love Goldsmith and Leith Stevens and a few of the other composers I'm interested in to lesser degrees. If this were a 12 disc complete series scoring set for $150 (even though that's a pretty good deal!), it might give even *my* Goldsmith completism pause. 4 discs for $50-60 is totally a sweet spot -- SOLD! There's also a previously unknown main and end title by Jerry Goldsmith that was never used on the show--at least in this form. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yavar

One would think that with all of these old 60s (and 70s) sci-fi shows available on cable and streaming apps, that there would be a whole new audience out there discovering them? But then again, maybe not? Case point: My brother bought the Blu-ray edition of Batman (with Adam West and Burt Ward) a few years ago and showed them to our young nephews...the kids couldn't even make it through one episode. "This is stupid. This is lame. This isn't Batman!" were their comments. Oh, well...their loss, I guess. Voyage isn't really anywhere streaming other than Hulu and I think it's only the first two seasons. ME-TV runs it Saturday night. That's it for The States. DVDs are on Amazon for high and not so high prices, depending on what half-season you're looking for and a blu-ray release doesn't seem like it's in my lifetime. The Irwin Allen shows had a resurgence in popularity in the late 90's in to the early 2000's, but they're back into obscurity for the most part now. The generation who saw them first run is dying out, and my generation isn't enough to support it. It's also a product of its time. It's not "timeless" as much as some fans would like to believe. It's a cold war/spy/sci-fi/monster show with zero character development. It has good performances and mostly great model effects, but little else to get new audiences interested.

Okay, if there's more Leith Stevens to be had on a Volume 2, maybe you can count me in for that too, Jeff. If IMDb is to be believed he wrote original music for more episodes of this show than almost anyone else (nine separate episode scores, I think?) so it's no surprise that not all of his music would fit on this four disc set I guess...with these being hourlong programs I'm guessing most of the discs can fit about three complete scores... which means Leith would have gotten 3/4 if all of his complete scores had been included; not exactly fair to other composers, eh? If this set is even half full of Leith Stevens music I'll be SUPER happy! Yavar
