This is out now digitally in any country where it's already Friday, and some people got physical copies already too. Anybody on FSM listen to it yet? What do you think? It‘s magnificent, starting with the uplifting Flight to Neverland and delivering one spectacular arrangement and performance after the other. Definitely recommended.

I'll probably just wait until the CD is released on it's own The CD is out; it's released simultaneously with the Blu-ray/CD edition.

I listened to parts of the CD (the "Imperial March" and the Jaws and Hook selections). Great recording. Spectacular sound, but I am totally biased... it's really been my wish since the 1980s that John Williams would one day conduct the Wiener Philharmoniker on their own turf... now it has actually happened. :-) Not checked the Blu-ray yet, but I have the impression the recordings for the CD were done concurrently with the 2 concerts but without audience (more like a studio recording), my cursory listening revealed no audience noise, no coughs, nor applause.

Yes I appreciate that but I don't want to spend a lot of money on that set when I'll never watch the Blu-ray, hence why I'll wait until I can get just the CD. Sorry, that's what I meant (and just rectified in the post): you can already buy just the CD if that is all you want. Oh is it available? Thanks for that. I can't seem to find it on Amazon UK? I don't know about Amazon UK, but Amazon Germany has it: https://www.amazon.de/John-Williams-Vienna-Anne-Sophie-Mutter/dp/B087SM43M9/ref=sr_1_1_sspa

But CD is much shorter! The entire concert is available only on Blu-Ray. CD - 13 tracks. Blu-Ray - 19 tracks (entire concert) + 1 track with video interview.

I appreciate that but as I said before I have no facility to play Blu-ray so the CD will have to do. I also have the recent Across The Stars CD, I assume that's why most of the tracks featuring Mutter aren't on this new CD. Yes, the selection of pieces that are on the Vienna Philharmonic Blu-ray only but not on the CD are indeed on "Across The Stars", performed by the "Recording Arts Orchestra of Los Angeles", which is presumably a pickup up orchestra consisting of top Hollywood session musicians. Fine recordings.
