It's not as if their Rooster Cogburn release was that long ago, so I'm not sure why you're so doubtful something else could come out in the line. My money is on U.S. Marshals being one of the titles but I've got no idea what the other could be! You know I'm with you in hoping that some surviving 40s Universal Rozsa scores can come out, whether from Varese, Intrada, or LLL. Yavar That would definitely be appreciated in my book. And speaking of Rozsa, how about a deluxe Eye of the Needle with both film and album recordings while we're wishing.

The only Varese titles I can think of that I'd want expanded, off the top of my head, are Christopher Columbus by Cliff Eidelman and Instinct and Real Steel by Danny Elfman. I'm sure there are others. Those are all great suggestions and the Eidelman in particular is one of my biggest holy grails (and certainly the one of his scores most in need of expansion, being his longest and most complex work... but also sign me up for an expanded Free Willy 3 while we're at it). How about Goldsmith's The Other (half the score is unreleased, and it deserves a regular album with individual cues besides)? Seems like a score that would appeal to you. Doyle's Carlito's Way is a masterpiece controlled by Varese that deserves a complete release. How about Wild Wild West by Elmer and Peter Bernstein? Lots of great unreleased thematic orchestral music there which would really flesh the score out and surprise some folks I think. There are quite a few good expansions Varese can still pursue. And speaking of Rozsa, how about a deluxe Eye of the Needle with both film and album recordings while we're wishing. Oh YEAH. Another of my biggest holy grails left. The film recording is far superior to the Varese album recording (which they frustratingly reissued a few years ago as a straight Encore Edition), IMO. The Twilight Time Blu-ray iso score track was a revelation but I want a CD release. Yavar

Yavar I'm in for - EYE OF THE NEEDLE (original recording) Absolutely - THE OTHER complete! and considering all the good comments said about it (but have never actually heard) - CHRISTOPHER COLOMBUS

Finally? "Volunteers" and Expanded "The River"? - Don’t think these will likely come from Varese, but if they are possible I’m sure they will happen! Roger at Intrada has been actively trying to make Volunteers for *years* now, and I’m sure either Intrada or LLL has The River on their “Williams to expand” list. Yavar

Yavar Varese did give us Dracula over a year ago, so I wouldn’t say it’s improbable for Varese to do The River.

MACARTHUR. Even if it's a straight reissue of the old disc, I'll gladly have it. Then I can retire happy.
