Buy some damn replacement jewel cases. They're dirt cheap in bulk.

Bubble-wrap the size of a single sheet of toilet paper is cheap in bulk too. But apparently too expensive for Varese.

Mine also arrived with a broken case, poorly packaged. Frustrating.

I haven't ordered directly from them in years and doubt I will ever again.

I don't think bubble wrap that thin would be very effective.

It says right on the packing slip that they will replace defective items, and right below that it says that broken jewel cases are not considered defective items.

Really? So they consider jewel cases to be disposable packaging (in a sense, they are prophylactic rather being the disc itself). More likely, they know replacement cases will also get broken so there's no point in offering to send them.

It's annoying that jewel cases aren't necessarily the same size, so you can't always swap out a broken tray or whatever. Sometimes you have to replace the whole thing. But not everyone is going to have spare multidisc cases laying around. And any special or proprietary cases will have to be got from the company.

Fool me once...

Right? There's yet another thread about this, filled not with feedback from newbies but from veterans of this board. I don't get it.

I ordered direct from VSB the other week to take advantage of their sale -the expanded Hellboy price was too good to pass up,

I was lucky in the fact that CD's arrived undamaged - but that was a lot of luck. The packaging box was flimsy at best and pretty much fell apart when I went to open it.

And yet some people just never learn their lesson... and keep ordering directly.

Naxos seems to know they must carefully pack copies for other stores. Unless stores order enough copies to compensate the outer layer being broken.

Is this necessary i can't see REAL shipping issues.. i wouldn't be happy if the actual title had damage it ruins the product, plastic means nothing grow-up people & move-on - Look what Varese have released there's still no love.. its a chuckle these troubles that'd all it is.. you could sue for negligence attorney all these "Members Cases."

Good to hear. They've pretty much lost me as a customer. I've been tempted to pick up some titles when they have sales, then I remind myself of threads like this. I'd rather pay full price @ MM and know I'll get the right product and in good condition.

Auto-Glass free of charge, I've bought box-sets off Varese all been fine, i use a 2nd party seller for other titles because i don't like Varese's mark-ups not there packaging.

If anyone has bought off "Allyourmusic" you'll know the packaging is the same texture corrugated card-board that is tough-stuff if that same postman is not having a bad-day.. that's how i see it.

Is there a jewel case replacement equivalent of this "Auto-Glass" place? Don't wait for the translation.

Given Varese's disdain of its own customers, there's no rational reason to order from them unless one enjoys shoddy service and indifferent staff.

You forget, Goldsmith fanatics who have been pining for titles " FOREVER", are not keen to wait an extra week.
Sad, but true.

The glass so far only has a chip, you can not claim that today until it caves through the paper.

Auto Glass repair Auto Glass replace is sang as the repairer that repairs or replaces your unbearable troubles its a toe-tapper theme that's rather jolly.

I support the label through Europe i haven't had any cracked Varese cd's, only off Amazon.

True enough single disc jewel cases can be bought on Amazon in bulk; ten for a reasonable price. However, where does one buy multi-disc jewel cases?

Most stupid response I have ever seen. One is entitled to get the discs and the jewel case in mint condition.
