Thinking about a couple of these. But I'm in the UK: do Intrada usually put the full retail price or the sale price (price actually paid) on the customs slip?

There are a handful of titles I am kicking around getting. What are everyone's thoughts on the Delerue?

WAY too much source music...and not the good Delerue-Ian kind. On sale, theres enough GOOD bits for a real Delerue nut to own this but I was let down.

I wise to ask about this online? Customs & Excise get wind of it...

Hence why the last few albums in the series were digital-only...and here the UK (Tinker Bell and) The Pirate Fairy didn't even get that… I blame Natasha Bedingfield...

Actually the last two albums produced were Intrada's Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure (#2) and Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue (#3), which they put out a couple years after they released the first score (film release in 2008, score album released in 2013):

http://store.intrada.com/s.nl/it.A/id.8196/.f?sc=13&category=67400

I'm 100% sure that The Pirate Fairy (#5) was released digitally before Intrada put out #s 2 & 3 on CD. Maybe even Legend of the Neverbeast (#6 and final) was released digitally before that, but I'm not sure. Sadly Intrada was not involved in those two digital releases so they aren't complete and definitive like Intrada's three score releases are.

The real bummer is that #4 (the winter-themed Secret of the Wings) has never received any release of any kind, even digital. It probably tied as my favorite score of the series along with #2 (Lost Treasure), which Intrada fortunately did release. I would be over the moon if Intrada did at least that one more, but I guess the chances aren't great if they're putting the other three on sale now...still, they surprised me by putting out #s 2 & 3 out of the blue, after Roger had commented on poor sales for #1, so maybe there is still hope. I'd also be interested in the short film Pixie Hollow Games, if McNeely wrote original score for that...

Oddity on the discount for the MCKENNA'S GOLD + IN COLD BLOOD cd...

Yeah and it doesn't show right once placed in the cart, either. Hopefully that gets fixed!

Fixed! (Thanks, Jeff!)

THE CONVERSATION was one of the first ISC releases and remains one of its best. Highly, highly recommended for anyone not familiar.

According the recently posted video from Intrada's shipping manager they've already received over 163 orders since the start of the sale this morning. big grin

(Video quotes 148 orders, and comments state that 15 more orders came in during the uploading of said video)

Yo E!!! I'm curious if you've heard this album, thoughts??
No Delerue is outright bad, but damn...those hokey 80s garden party cues dominate here....

On a positive note, great sale, I JUST saw Bunny Lake 2 weeks ago & that album was on immediately on my radar. Fantastic film, see it!!! Incredible, pokey avant score too, residing in the Goldsmith Apes neighborhood IMO. The Zombies songs were really shoehorned in there but...hey commercialism, even in the 60s!

I tried for years to sell or trade.this title.
I finally gave up and traded it in at Amoeba.
Wondering how many copies this title has sold?

I've only heard the samples of the Delerue Sean and some stuff on YT. I am kind of tone deaf when it comes to Delerue - I grab all of them usually. As far as the Bunny Lake film goes, that one still ranks as one of my favorite mystery films of all time. I saw it when I was young and found it haunting and so tense. The ending still keeps me on the edge of my seat. Olivier and Lynley were fabulous and I never liked Keir Dullea again until the 2001film. I will have to visit the score on this.

If someone could loan me an extra $200 so I could get the 14 titles I'm missing, that would be swell...
(I don't get paid again until after the sale ends...)

Use a credit card to delay paying by a month or more. If you know the money is coming in there should be no worries about paying off your next statement in full. You should even earn some cash back if you have a decent card.

Use a credit card

That's the thing. I have one but I only have $119 left on it until it's maxed out. I used to have a decent job until about a year ago, now I can't find work and I'm living on government disability.

My original remark was made in jest - I don't seriously expect anyone to help me, I'm just venting my frustration. I almost jumped for the Kino Lorber Blu-Ray sale also running now until I saw this was announced. If these sales were happening at the beginning of the month instead of the second half, I could manage them a little better, but overall it's just bad timing when I'm on a shoestring budget and I only get paid once a month.

Excellent! I dont know why BUNNY LAKE eluded me so long- I nearly turned it off during the main title because I thought Amazon put up a crummy windowboxed version - when Bass' inventive titles burst into 'scope, I was....emotional. That is a beautiful film to just LOOK at. On top of it the story is so engaging...damn they dont make them like this anymore...

The better of the two Delerue's. (2nd score on that cd) is on YouTube. I havent found the first film from that cd to view yet, but that is the ultra heavy source scored film. So....

You won't regret it! Especially since it also has my favorite piece Jerry ever wrote (and I confess I prefer the LSO's take to the original even though I love both): The Artist Who Did Not Want to Paint.
