Continuing SEASON 5:

"Redemption"
By: Christopher L. Stone
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj1uf

Highlights:
  • 1300 in.
  • 19:34 in.
  • 31:50 in.
  • 39:24 in.

    Poor episode, good villain.

The old cliché of the villain stopping before shooting the target just so he or she can point it dramatically and tell them to say good-bye/prayers/witty comment, is alive and well in this series.

    "Codename: Dragonfly"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5rvyl2

    Highlights:
  • 0:06/1:46 in.
  • 4:28 in.
  • 5:53 in.
  • 9:32 in.
  • 12:17 in.
  • 14:51 in.
  • 18:03 in. Even has a brief few seconds clearly inspired by that repeated line from Mars, Bringer of War.
  • 29:45 in. Stone has fun with the Yellow Rose of Texas song, in orchestral form.
  • 33:05 in.
  • 37:18 in.
  • 38:25 in. There's a brief lull.
  • 43:00 in.

Another good score. Stone really tried to make sure it stood out. That's nearly all of the score listed above. The theme kind of reminds me of something Vangelis might have done.

Codename: Airwolf. Let's be honest here.

Can Walker outrun a fancy-pants helicopter, in his pick-up truck? Will the villain just linger behind him and not fire even though he has him? Will the villain just talk when he has a chance to eliminate Walker? Will Walker get out of the truck after a fiery explosion and several rolls, with nothing more than a knee that kind of hurts? If you answered "Yes" to all of the above, you win!

    "A Silent Cry"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj1uh

    Highlights:
  • 7:25 in.
  • 10:08 in.
  • 18:35 in.
  • 21:15 in.
  • 23:24 in. And after the commercial break.
  • 32:58 in.
  • 40:50 in.

    "Swan Song"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj1ui

    Highlights:
  • 1:36 in.
  • 5:40 in.
  • 12:56 in.
  • 21:55 in.
  • 30:24 in.
  • 38:25 in. Joining a cue already in progress.

Score from the episode "Whitewater: Part 1" opens the episode, so I of course did not note it as a highlight. It gets tracked again later in the episode, as well. Sounds like something is tracked from another episode he scored, too.

Man, how this episode de-evolved quickly from that fun 1980's flash-back opening.

    Continuing SEASON 5:

    "Cyclone"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5rvyl5

    Highlights:
  • 3:37/4:17 in.
  • 10:58 in.
  • 32:14 in.
  • 36:33 in.
  • 40:53 in.

An actual harrowing moment in "Walker, Texas Ranger": C.D., Alex and a bunch of kids are buried in the ground inside a school buss during a heavy rainstorm and the front windshield caves in under pressure and muddy water starts pilling in. Damn.

"I may be no saint, but I ain't no murderer!"
"I am," shoots the other bad guys

    "Lucky"
    By: Ron Ramin
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj1uy

    Highlights:
  • 0:07 in. Heavy country-style feel here.
  • 7:00 in.
  • 9:44 in. Yeah, I could easily here this cue used in "In the Heat of the Night".
  • 13:30 in.
  • 22:42 in.
  • 25:07 in.
  • 28:07 in.
  • 35:53/38:19 in.
  • 41:51 in.

    "The Deadliest Man Alive"
    By: Ron Ramin
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj1uz

    Highlights:
  • 0:00 in.
  • 3:20 in.
  • 10:21 in.
  • 17:17 in.
  • 20:03 in.
  • 23:35 in.
  • 33:04 in.
  • 34:38 in.
  • 36:40/37:07 in. To the end of the episode.

Another good score. You'd think it was a Mark Snow effort.

    "A Ranger Christmas"
    By: Ron Ramin
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj1v0

    Highlights:
  • 3:50 in. Joining a cue already in progress.
  • 10:54 in.
  • 13:35 in.
  • 31:02 in. Some western chase music.
  • 37:58 in.
  • 42:25 in.

Another good score. Works in some familiar Christmas favorites.
Unfortunately, this is one of Ron's last episodes. :-(

A surprisingly well-written and acted episode.

    Continuing SEASON 5:

    "Mayday"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj1v1

    Highlights:
  • 1:34 in.
  • 9:49 in. Joining a cue already in progress. Music to fly by, on a budget.
  • 13:16 in
  • 14:25 in.
  • 18:06 in.
  • 26:37 in.
  • 29:27 in.
  • 32:43 in.
  • 40:14 in. Fight music.

A more realistic plane crash at 13:16 in in than the CGI ones in films.

Okay, so we have the clichéd plane crash while transporting a prisoner plot going, so here's my list of clichéd plots ideas:

Pregnant woman who says she isn't due to give birth yet. She'll give birth and hold them up.
    Was I right: YES

Annoying guy who'll get in the way and probably cause one of them to get hurt or kidnapped.
Was I right: Partially. He did at one point want to go against what Walker told them to do.

Prisoner who'll try to escape and then later have a heart of gold and help them:
Was I right about the escape: NO.
Was I right about the heart of gold: YES.

One of the others will die.
    Was I right: NO

    I was close!

    "Last Hope"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj1v2

    Highlights:
  • 4:28 in.
  • 8:30 in.
  • 11:58 in.
  • 14:55 in.
  • 18:08 in.
  • 25:10 in.
  • 27:37 in.

Random Bad Guy: "A money launderer who makes house calls? Is this a great country or what?"

    "Full Conflict"
    By: Kevin Kiner
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj1v4

Kiner's first effort for the series.

    Highlights:
  • 17:30 in. Joining a cue already in progress.
  • 33:37 in.
  • 41:26 in.

Goddamnit I hate boxing episodes of TV series.

    "99th Ranger"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj1v5

    Highlights:
  • 16:52 in.
  • 22:18 in.
  • 36:00 in.

    Continuing SEASON 5:

    "Devil's Turf"
    By: Kevin Kiner
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj1v6

    Highlights:
  • 3:30 in.
  • 22:23 in.
  • 33:14 in.
  • 39:21 in.

    "Days Past"
    By: Ron Ramin
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj1v8

    Highlights:
  • 14:52 in.
  • 20:20 in.
  • 24:30 in.
  • 30:05 in.
  • 34:09 in.
  • 38:25 in.*
  • 41:20 in.

    * = I got to say, that's one of the most evil bastard moves I've ever seen a bad guy do on a TV show.

    "Trial of LaRue"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3rt342

    Highlights:
  • 23:05 in.
  • 36:55 in.

C.D.: "I tell ya: This man needs killin'."

    "Heart of the Dragon"
    By: Ron Ramin
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj1v3

    Highlights:
  • 15:45 in. Another piece that heavily reminds me of Mark Snow, specifically more in line with his more upbeat material on "MillenniuM".
  • 22:20 in.
  • 28:30 in.
  • 37:03 in.

Chinese and/or Japanese instruments in many cues for a different flavor.

Another clichéd plot? Ancient _______ relic that gives people powers is stolen.
Considering the elements this show started with and what background we have on Walker's character this far in, it's such a waste.

    "The Neighborhood"
    By: Kevin Kiner
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj1v7

    Highlights:
  • 17:45 in.
  • 29:37 in.

    "A Father's Image"
    By: Ron Ramin
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj1v9

    Highlights:
  • 7:06 in.
  • 7:55 in.
  • 16:29 in.
  • 36:49 in.
  • 40:45 in.

Damn, a competent body guard for a bad guy. Usually they're varying kinds of idiots with a lust to kick somebody's ass.

Another surprisingly well done episode, considering how easily other series have squandered ideas like this before.

Season five was long; I'm still not done with it yet.

Rain is coming down pretty heavily here, so I don't want to lose everything I've written thus far, so I'll have to post in parts. First chunk:

    Continuing SEASON 5:

    "Sons of Thunder: Part 1"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5rvz6m

    Highlights:
  • 0:08 in.
  • 8:50 in.
  • 12:27 in.
  • 15:55 in. (I'll go back and fix this later today)
  • 17:59 in.
  • 22:00 in.
  • 25:04/27:09 in.
  • 29:23 in.
  • 32:39 in.
  • 35:05 in.

    "Sons of Thunder: Part 2"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5rvz6n

    Highlights:
  • 6:30 in.
  • 14:15 in. And after the commercial break.
  • 20:40 in.
  • 25:09 in.
  • 27:15 in.
  • 30:03 in.
  • 34:00 in.
  • 47:40 in.

I'm surprised Stone didn't at least get an award nomination for his work on this two-parter. Good scores.

I'm not sure if that Yellow Rose of Texas orchestral bits are edited from that episode I mentioned reviews back, so I'm not going to cite it. There was also another episode that had what I assume was it too, but I didn't mention it.

This special spawned a pilot film and a spin-off TV series by the same name. Kevin Kiner scored all the episodes of the spin-off series; only six episodes were made and I think I read only four aired. I will not be covering the series. Some of the characters appeared in WTR episodes and according to info/ online, just vanished without explanation after the spin-off failed.
Get some people who worked on "Magnum, pi", hire Ron Ramin, and it would have even been better; might have lasted a few seasons.

Some of the WTR cast guest-starred in episodes.

Amongst the new cast was Alan Autry, who played Bubba Skinner on the series "In the Heat of the Night". It would have been totally awesome if he was playing Bubba Skinner again; might have saved the show temporarily and drawn in some more viewers. Oh well, missed opportunity.

Guy: No, no, I can't give you this secret information that might get me killed over the phone; you never know who might be listening.
Trivette: Okay, give me your address.
Guy: "Yeah, no problem, I'm at...
    LOL.

CinemaSins voice: Bad guy falls off a tall building to his death cliché.

    Finishing SEASON 5:

    "Texas vs. Cahill"
    By: Ron Ramin
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj38e

This is Ron's final effort for the series.

    Highlights:
  • 16:50 in.
  • 20:40 in.
  • 28:29 in.
  • 30:01 in. Continues after the commercial break.
  • 36:15 in.
  • 38:00 in.
  • 40:12 in.
  • 44:21 in.

    "Rookie"
    By: Kevin Kiner
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj38f

    Highlights:
  • 9:10 in.
  • 41:25 in. The brief building part, not the action material afterwards.

Eight minutes for the opening credits to finally appear? Must be a record.

    CinemaSins voice: Shopping montage cliché.

    SEASON 6:

    "The Fighting McLains"
    By: Richard Band
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj38g

This is Band's first effort for the series.

    Highlights:
  • 14:37 in.
  • 20:00 in.
  • 25:38 in.
  • 2718 in.
  • 43:13 in.

I don't know. The series had a good thing going with Stone's scores and Ramin's mostly real players efforts, but this sounds like a couple steps backwards.

I wonder how Band got onboard the show.

Special manly note: actress Tava Smiley is cute as hell.

Reid: "One of these days, Walker."
Walker: "Why wait, Reid? How about right now?"
Trivette: "Cat got your tongue, Reid?"

    "Iceman"
    By: Kevin Kiner
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj38h

    Highlights:
  • 21:37 in.
  • 25:53 in.
  • 37:10 in.

This is the third and final appearance of a character named Charlie, who first appeared in "Mayday" (the criminal with a heart).

    "Lucas: Part 1"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5rvxq0

    Highlights:
  • 11:32 in.
  • 14:00 in. And after the commercial break.
  • 18:43 in.
  • 24:14 in.
  • 31:13 in. And after the commercial break (which is a fun kind of tropical-flavored feeling piece).
  • 38:42 in. Joining a cue already in progress, for the power anthem bit.
  • 40:08 in.
  • 42:00 in.

Guest-starring Haley "I see rat people" Joel Osment. Yeah, it's a bad joke, trust me.

I pulled up his IMDb page and I see he's become a beard-O.

This episode is the first one to bring up uncle Ray -- Walker' uncle who was in the first two seasons but then vanished without notice (as I recall). Walker says Ray died. The actor who played Ray didn't die, so ... contract re-negotiation failure?

Now that I have a little more time, I'm going to trying and finish the series before Christmas, cause I probably -- at that time -- won't be online for one to two weeks.

    Continuing SEASON 6:

    "Lucas: Part 2"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5rvxq2

    Highlights:
  • 3:45 in.
  • 14:10 in. Joining a cue already in progress.
  • 24:35 in. Joining a cue already in progress.
  • 34:45 in.
  • 37:23 in.

C.D.: "Ohhh, pardon my French, but I'll be damned."

    "Forgotten People"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj38t

    Highlights:
  • 20:25 in.
  • 26:35 in.
  • 28:14 in.
  • 29:00 in.
  • 31:34 in.
  • 36:26 in.

If I dare say such a thing, this may be one of the best episodes of the series. Also a strong contender, the "Lucas" two-parter. Sure, it's a clichéd plot I've seen probably a dozen times before in TV series, but it's done so well here.

"Last of a Breed: Part I"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5rvxq6

    Highlights:
  • 0:07 in.
  • 4:00 in.
  • 5:40 in.
  • 8:35 in.
  • 12:00 in. And after the commercial break.
  • 16:30 in.
  • 19:45 in.
  • 23:44 in. And after the commercial break.
  • 26:58 in.
  • 34:26 in. And after the commercial break.
  • 40:45 in.

Yes, another western score, but this time no Christmas music. And it sounds like some real players were used. I think that was all the cues in the episode that I noted above.

Walker: "Just an all around egg-sucking dog."
    Bad Guy Henchmen: "Hahahaha!"
Random Henchmen: "That's you." (that would have been the moment that henchmen was shot dead by his boss in another TV series)

"Last of a Breed: Part II"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5rvxq7

    Highlights:
  • 2:44 in.
  • 6:50 in.
  • 9:20 in. And after the commercial break.
  • 14:07 in.
  • 17:30 in. There's a brief lull.
  • 22:43 in.
  • 23:28/26:31 in.
  • 27:46 in. And after the commercial break.
  • 32:04 in. Hell yeah. There's a brief lull.
  • 35:18/36:01 in. More hell yeah.
  • 36:55 in.
  • 40:00 in.

    That's nearly all the cues.

Again, why wasn't Stone nominated for some award at least, for this? Seriously, this better than most* western scores in the last decade or so.

    * = "Most" does not mean all, numbnuts; stop typing up examples. Don't make me link to an online dictionary page for the word most.

Cabe: "I'm all the army I need."

    "Brainchild"
    By: Kevin Kiner
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj38w

    Highlights:
  • 10:48 in.
  • 15:14 in.
  • 17:42 in.
  • 32:07 in.
  • 37:00 in.

Larry Brown is credited on IMDb with uncredited additional scoring.

    Good.
    God.

Okay, so we've moved passed Indian ghosts killing people and now we're at a kid with psychokinetic powers.

The series was doing so well this season, but it's de-evolving now.

    "Mr. Justice"
    By: Kevin Kiner
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj38x

    Highlights:
  • 10:25 in.
  • 23:00 in.
  • 26:17 in.
  • 29:20 in.
  • 31:33 in.
  • 34:25 in.
  • 37:59 in.
  • 43:49 in.

Again, an orchestral of Yellow Rose of Texas, but I don't know if it's new or edited from the first episode to use it.

Guest-starring then Republican Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, as herself. I think this is the first person to guest-star as him or herself in the series.

A real-life inmate was in the episode. He's got a blogpage online; posts from other prison inmates are on the site, too.

    "Rainbow's End"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj38y

    Highlights:
  • 14:10 in.
  • 24:00 in.
  • 27:44 in.
  • 33:43 in.
  • 41:00 in.
  • 43:35 in.

For the life of me I can't recall where this quote is from, but it goes something like this:
Person: "You know what I hate?"
Other Person (sarcastically): "So many thing."
Well, that sums up my feelings on horse-racing episodes of TV series. Obligatory fucking horse-racing episodes.

Hey, I have an idea, bad guy, if you don't want a lackey to put the full amount of something into the food of a horse, why not NOT give the lackey that much of it?

CinemaSins voice: "'You better come see' this cliché."

Walker: "Well, you said 'Hello', now say 'Good-bye'."

Bad Guy: "You made some bad enemies today, Walker."
Walker: "That makes me real sad."

Bad Guy: "What do you want, Walker?"
Walker: "How about fifty years of your life?"

    Continuing SEASON 6:

    "A Woman's Place"
    By: Richard Band
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj38z

    Highlights:
  • 007 in.
  • 4:30 in.
  • 7:46 in.
  • 17:00 in.
  • 24:35 in. Kind of reminds me of Goldsmith in a way.
  • 28:07 in.
  • 30:36 in. Joining a cue already in progress.
  • 34:47 in. And that short bit after the commercial break.

This is certainly much better than his first effort. I guess that first one was a last-minute replacement score.

I see Stone has worked for Band, so I'm guessing Stone helped get in a good word for him.

    "Small Blessings"
    By: Kevin Kiner
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj391

    Highlights:
  • 3:10 in.
  • 5:43 in.
  • 7:00 in.
  • 11:10 in.
  • 13:38 in.
  • 17:37 in.
  • 19:28 in.
  • 22:20 in.
  • 23:54 in.
  • 26:15 in.
  • 30:11 in.
  • 35:26 in
  • 40:07 in.

The first score by Kiner I can say over all I enjoyed.

Larry Brown is credited on IMDb with uncredited additional scoring.

    Walker: "You're under arrest."
    Bad Guy: "Not today."
Walker: "I was hoping you would say that..."

    "Tribe"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj392

    Highlights:
  • 13:55 in.
  • 27:15 in.
  • 31:00 in.
  • 34:47 in. Sounds more like something John E. Davis would have done in the first "season".

    "Saving Grace"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj393

    Highlights:
  • 10:45 in.
  • 15:38 in.
  • 17:31 in.
  • 22:17 in.
  • 24:25 in.

    Another fucking obligatory boxing episode.

Magical helicopter that a bullet just bounces off of!

    Highlights:
  • 2:00 in.
  • 20:35 in.

  • 39:00/40:32 in.
  • 43:27 in.

Similar plot to an episode of "In the Heat of the Night".

Once again an episode of a TV series spreading the myth of "silencers" that don't make a sound. Was there even one law enforcement official consultant? Hell, just show security. Or open the filming stage door and ask a lot security officer. It's stupid this crap happened so much and still continues to happen. If you're far enough away, sure, you might not hear a shot fired threw a suppressor, but that's not what is said here.

About seven and a half minutes or so of the score was released on a 2CD promo of film and television music by Band, called Up and Down.

Goddamnit, that "special" kid the Buddhist monks had episodes ago, is back. Like we needed more of that shit.

No, it's worse than that: on top of the kid, there's a super soldier. Did I mention the kid has other powers?

Stone and Kiner must have seen this and said: Yeah, I'm busy. Have you tried Richard?

Stone has been on fire a number of episodes now these last two seasons. Another good score, with Stone once again aiming often for film-like scoring.

    "Code of the West"
    By: Christopher L. Stone

C.D.: "Well, you're not going to believe this: Art's book isn't even released yet and a high-powered Hollywood producer has bought the rights to it."
    Alex: "That's great, C.D.."
C.D.: "It is, Alex, 'cause he's gonna take the money from the book and start a foundation to continue his work all across the country"
Walker: "Well, that will help a lot of kids."
    C.D.: "Yes it will."
Trivette: "Wait a minute ... you guys, Art's new book -- that's the one about the judge who takes a bunch of kids on a trail ride and bad guys show up and they try to hang the judge?"
C.D.: "Yeah, yeah, that's right, and two rangers come in and save the day."
Trivette: "Hey -- we're gonna be a famous."
C.D.: "Huh. Well, I never thought about that, Jimmy. I guess you're right."
Trivette: "Oh, I wonder who they'll get."
Alex: "What are you talking about?"
Trivette: "The cast. To play us in the movie."
    C.D.: "Well, I'm easy ... Paul Newman."
Trivette: "Huh heh he -- Paul Newman?"
C.D.: "Do you have any other suggestions?"
    Trivette: "No."
Walker and Alex are still chuckling.
C.D.: "Alex, who's gonna play you?"
    Alex: "I have no idea."
    Trivette: "Helen Hunt."
    Alex: "Helen Hunt? Really?"
Trivette: "Yeah. She's beautiful, she's intelligent. she's you, baby."
Alex: "Hum. And what about you, Jimmy?"
Trivette: "Well, obviously I was thinking about Denzelle."
    C.D.: "Denzelle Washington?"
Trivette: "No, Denzelle Smith," with sarcasm. "Yes Denzelle Washington, Paul."

    Walker: "How would I know."
    Trivette: "I do: Chuck Norris."
Walker: "Wait a minute, wait a minute..."
    Alex: "That's perfect. Jimmy, you're a genius."
Walker: "Chuck Norris? C.D., you get Paul Newman who's an Academy Award winner, Alex you get Helen Hunt who's an Academy Award winner, Trivette you get Denzelle Washington who's an Academy Award winner, and I get Chuck Norris? Now what has he won?"
Trivette: "How about six-time world karate champion?"
    Walker: "Hum. That'll work."

  • 35:02 in.

    * = I'm so tired of the cliché being used over and over again in the show that small town guys have rednecks that are just looking for a fight and are also maybe racist.

It's interesting how TV shows think using bombs to cover up the actions of bad guys, is a better way to hide things. If anything, it draws in the F.B.I. who then use sophisticated methods and tools to track back to where the supplies where obtained and so forth and so on, often catching the bad guy.

This is the second episode score I can recall so far that has wordless jazz scat singing with who I assume is Mack Dougherty (sounds like him) from the wordless jazz scat singing in most of the episode scores from "In the Heat of the Night".

Unrelated, but Walker trying to find the candles even though he's blind, reminded me of a news story from the last year where this person or person needed candles, so they found what they thought were candles and lit them, but turned out instead to be sticks of explosives they used for other reasons. You really have to be an immense dumbass to do that.

Once again, magical grenades: where they wait for you to get away, have a weak explosive radius, and don't blow you to pieces but instead launch you in the air.

    Boom mic is back again.

Crossover with the lead from a short-lived series called "Martial Law". It lasted two seasons (which is surprising once you see his "Acting" skills; even not talking doesn't help!). I see from his IMDb page, the character also appeared in "Early Edition" and "L.A. Doctors".

    "Black Dragons"

    * = Angklungs. Not tuned ones like Jerry used in his Trek scores, but still, a rare treat in episodic television scoring.

+ = Walker should have totally spouted off a cheesy line here: "Nobody tries to shoot my truck. Now you've made me angry..."

    Highlights:

  • 11:38 in.
  • About 16:00 in.
  • 21:32 in.
  • 35:30 in.

    "The Bachelor Party"
    By: Kevin Kiner
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5rvwrl

    Highlights:
  • 4:14 in.
  • 8:25 in. Almost six minutes long. Covering faux lush wildness music to bear attack music. But after a few seconds there's more bear attack music. They should have called this episode "Bear Jaws"*. I can't take credit for the name, since I found out yesterday there's a film called "Moose Jaws" coming. Read the description on IMDb.
  • 21:56 in. And after the commercial break. It goes on for just over fourteen minutes.
  • 36:41 in. To the end of the episode.

This has to be Kiner's best score to the series (so far).

    * = This bear just doesn't want to stop. His killing boner is harder than Jaws' killing boner. It's like he ate a box of Viagra.

    "Wedding Bells: Part 1"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj6xd

    Highlights:
  • 4:59 in.
  • 12:46 in.
  • 16:45 in. A solo piano piece. It shifts to some synth pads and an ethnic woodwind. After some darker stuff for the bad guys, it sounds like Mack Dougherty again for some wordless jazz scat to acoustic guitar (for a short bit).
  • 25:50 in.
  • 36:32 in. To the end of the episode.

    "Wedding Bells: Part 2"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj6xe

    Highlights:
  • 1:15 in.
  • 3:20 in.
  • 10:03/16:05 in.
  • 19:40 in.
  • 21:40 in. And after the commercial break.
  • 32:45 in. There's a brief lull in the action for a cut-away to a new report on TV.* To the end of the episode.

Magical exploding SUV. Yes, all you have to do is hit a bridge guard rail and it blows so big and hard you'd think it came off the Cape Canaveral launch pad.

    * = This is like some cheesy 1990's action film where it's one thing after another. Kind of enjoyable!
Had this show gone on for another three seasons, surely they would have put him on the ISS for a battle that end up falling to Earth. This battles and attacks just keep getting bigger and bigger.

Alex: "Oh, Walker ... we may never take that walk..."

    "White Buffalo"
    By: Christopher L. Stone

  • 9:13 in.
  • 13:50 in.
  • 1749 in.
  • 25:46 in. Not the "hip" stuff for the bad guys. Stop at that point.
  • 31:00 in.
  • 38:08 in.

    "The Avenging Angel"
    By: Kevin Kiner
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5vj77b

    Highlights:
  • 26:55 in.
  • 37:49 in.
  • 40:24 in.

One of the original main characters dies.
The emotional impact of the funeral is lost a little when a shot from a funeral not even one season ago, is re-used. Cheap shit.
In real life the actor didn't die and continued acting.

    "Winds of Change"

    Highlights:
  • 6:48 in.*
  • 25:10 in.

    * = Briefly uses that woodwinds(?) cluster sound Horner used in "Something Wicked This Way Comes" and "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan".

For the guys here: Go to 34:15 in. You're welcome

    "Retribution"

    Highlights:
  • 9:26 in. Got some cool in it.
  • 13:19 in.
  • 20:01 in.*
  • 2748 in.
  • 29:00 in. Joining a cue already in progress. I do that more often than I mention.
  • 37:00 in.

    * = The punching and kicking sound effects have gotten ridiculous this last season. I know it's an old technique to smash fruit for the sound of punching somebody, but for this last season it's sounded like they've been taking grapefruit, getting the biggest fucking hammer they can find, putting it in a metal table and smashing it like they're trying to set a world record. When Walker kicked that guy in this example, it sounds like a canon was fired! Come on now!

    "Desperate Measures"
    By: Christopher L. Stone
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5rvw17

  • 2:15 in. The light disco-like material, not when that electric guitar stuff comes in.
  • 23:45 in.
  • 36:26 in.
  • 39:08 in.

Certainly wasn't expecting to hear disco elements that you can hear in "CHiPs", in parts of cues mentioned above.

    Return of the Boom Mic'.

Wow, amazing pick up truck coincidentally has a motorcycle wheel holder and strap-downs to hold a motorcycle up in the back.
Mulder: "If coincidences are coincidences, then why do they feel so contrived?"

    "That's my line, sunshine!"

    Not enough? 31:40 in.
42:30 in, 'cause you probably needed a little more.

    EDIT:

I know I said I'd do the TV movies, but I ran into problems:
One: There is actually only one TV movie. The other was just a long episode of the series I already covered. Which is weird because there were other long episodes that could have been TV movies.

Two: I could not find a load of the one TV movie: "Trial By Fire" (Kevin Kiner).

Moving on to the two-part finale.
