James Horner is one of my favorite composers, but the Titanic Suite on the Back To Titanic release is probably the worst thing he has ever composed! It's gawd awful. Kinda sad the "song" isn't on this release. Sure it was a rights issue, but a very odd omission. I enjoy the Titanic suite. For me it is a nice enough summation of the score. The song not being on the new release doesn't bother me, as I have the OST and adding it to a playlist on iTunes is easy enough. And honestly, is there anyone who has even the slightest interest in this set who does not own the OST? I am very excited for this release. Will be an instant purchase.

The song doesn't need to be included I'm sure many have it from a previous Titanic CD release. It is strange that it couldn't be included though only because the theme is woven into the score, but more so because Celine owes so much to the fact she got to sing this song and her career only blew up to her height because of it. again I don't need the song on this set. However let's celebrate with the Tony Moran ReMix from the CD Import Single) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIa9CeAmZaY https://youtu.be/BIa9CeAmZaY “The theme is woven into the score.” For those disappointed that Celine’s song is not included at least it has been released multiple times and on various albums. Those of us who love “Beyond Our Wildest Dreams” from John Candy’s 1991 soap opera farce DELIRIOUS are the ones who can truly complain when rights issues prevented Quartet Records from including it on their 2014 remastered score CD. Much like Horner and the Celine song, Cliff Eidelman’s love theme is essentially the instrumental version of the song... a song which is oh so lovely and yet remains unreleased in any form except for the end credits of the film 26 years later. *sigh*

Record label can’t do Krull, then Braveheart, then just forget about Titanic. Now do a definitive Brainstorm.

So glad you guys are excited by this release. To be honest with you, we didn't even think it was going to happen until we did Braveheart a few years back. We are deeply honored to have been able to bring this dream project to life with the full cooperation of Mr Horner's estate, agency, Fox, Paramount, Sony Music and Lightstorm (and we got it signed off on just as they started shooting the new Avatar films!). While it would have been nice to include the song, we were frankly told that IF we wanted to include it we may want to schedule the release for the 25th anniversary! lol You can bemoan all you want about the song, but the fact is that our goal was to present the original score as Mr Horner recorded for the film. The song would have been nice, but beyond complicated. We are film score fans. In the end, that's what matters the most. MV

This is incredible, and you always do these works AND composers justice. Holiest of Holy Grails....my goodness. Thank you ever so much.

Is Michael Stearn's music from "Encounter" included in this release? Doesn't look like it, though what was used from that piece was so small it probably wasn't worth it to include it. It was not even a minute long in the film (where Rose realizes Jack has frozen to death). Wow, I never knew about this additional piece of music in the film. I Googled Michael Stearns, and found the album "Encounter", which appears to be 52 minutes long. Does anyone know exactly which track was used in TITANIC, it's not credited on IMDB's page for the music in the film.
