However I do find there is a lot of just "mood" music in many episodes which may not make a full episode CD that much of a listening experience. The previous 4-disc sets presenting highlights from many episodes does make for a very listenable experience - even though there are many, many cues/episodes which could still be presented (4-disc vol 4 ?)

I'm sort of surprised to read that? I found each edition to only get more "listenable" than the last.

Thats just me though.

That's what I wrote (or at least thought I did)
The volumes are very listenable and a great presentation of the music, although many great cues remain.
Many of the full scores may not be as listenable as these "highlights" volumes are.

Well, if we're getting into requests....

- More from Seasons 1-3... this is the material I come back to most frequently. Duane Barry/ Ascension would be great pics.

- A lengthy suite from Never Again, would be great. There's some really different stuff in this episode... the tattoo scene and the final fight with Ed at the end in particular.

-One single track request: Snow's take on "All the Pretty Little Horses" from the teaser in Invocation... super haunting.

Chris.

To make my request list I ve used the massive music compilation from "Eatthecorn.com". If only the guy who did it had updated the list with what s been released on volume 3, i was really waiting for that!
Anyway, the site is very convenient. As I noted sometimes i really like all the music in the episode, so i couldn't tell which cue i wanted. Well here we go. Really hope some will finally make it smile

S1
- Deep Throat: End Scene
- Ghost In The Machine: "Technology cue"
- Darkness Falls: "Bugs" motif during the nights in the cabin

S2
- Duane Barry / Ascension: Atmospheric music
- Colony / End Game: Any unreleased music, lots of good stuff here!
- Dod Kalm: Teaser cue and End Scenes

S3
- The Walk: Swimming Pool Attack scene
- Oubliette: Chase Music and End Scenes (especially the last one, cause i really wanna hear it without the dialogue on The Truth and the light!!)
- Apocrypha: The score from all the episode is great!
- Talitha Cumi: Anything unreleased would be great, but especially the searching for the stiletto and the interrogation scene

S4
- Paper Hearts: really nice score, i would love to hear more
- Tunguska / Terma: anything unreleased
- Never Again: Tatoo scene and Fight with Ed
- Memento Mori: The full score is excellent we really need this
- Max: Mulder and Scully talk/ Plane attacked

S5
- Redux / Redux II: Anything unreleased
- Chinga: Teaser Cue
- Kill Switch: Teaser Cue (this is a must!)

S6
- The Rain King: Sheila tells Mulder & Scully it’s all her fault and Mulder confronts Holman
- Two Fathers / One Son: Anything unreleased

S7
- En Ami: CSM & Scully at dinner/CSM leaves restaurant to talk to hunchman/Scully receives message from Cobra
- Requiem: *MY MOST WANTED UNRELEASED CUE!*
Mulder’s abduction scene (“Stairway to Heaven”) / Krycek throws CSM down the stairs (38:19-41:13) (and the End pregnancy reveal would be a nice addition)

S8
- Without: Hunt In the Desert
- Per Manum: Anything, lots of good stuff
- Salvage: End Scene

S9
- Aubrey Pauley: Good score, so really anything

I registered to write this. I wish you appreciate my poor English.

My suggestion is season 7 episode, "Fight Club". The episode was weird but interesting, wasn't it?

Unreleased Music from episodes: Shadows, Ghost in the Machine, Ice, Shapes, Darkness Falls, Ascension, Død Kalm, Oubliette, Syzygy, Never Again

Absolutely!

I know I sound like a broken record as well, but hopefully TRIANGLE would be under consideration for such a complete score treatment.

Yes.

Babylon 5 had the same debate two decades ago at sonic images. The fans kept demanding episode releases and Babylon 5 kept demanding summation albums. That said the episode albums I believe sold well though about two small groups of people. The summation albums never really sold at all.

Depends on the episode scores. I'd suggest an online list of every single episode with check boxes so potential buyers can check each one they'd want, then submit and get the tallies at the end for potential candidates.

The idea with the complete scores is an old dream of mine - but I think just because of the mass of episodes with great scores (from my point of view) this could possibly become very difficult. Maybe this could be an idea for "Download-only" Releases in the future?!?

I really like the artworks and "real" CDs but for this kind of release - I would accept Download-only.

I also have to admit, the idea with the checkbox poll about full episode score may be a good idea in advance for these download-only possibility.

I think because of the many much demanded tracks that are left out from all over season 1 to 9 it would fit better on a fourth volume (4 CD) Compilation of the different seasons.

Thinking about a quantity for the fourth volume - I would suggest 2000 - but you may know better how well the different sets sold in the past.

Besides all that I'm hoping for a new X-Files Release in any form and quantity in the near future!

Keep up the great work and thanks for including us in the process!

I'm always game for an X-Files release but I think fourth volume is would better served as a (4 CD) compilation wrap-up from the nine seasons too. I think the checkbox poll option would be nice for choosing the tracks for the fourth volume. big grin

Personally, I've come to prefer the compilation approach for the releases thus far. Makes for a much more satisfying listening experience. The C&C approach makes for a whole lot of disposable filler material that you listen to once and then never again.

Still hoping for that wonderful swing-band material from "Triangle" to make it out there somehow.

Yeah I'd Like music from "Darkness Falls"! Also I'd take a complete score to "Eve" One of my all time favorite pieces of musisc is from the truck stop scene wen the girls run away after Scully discovers the digitalis.

Deep Throat – End Scene (also the end scene music for Ghost in the Machine)

Love Deep Throat end scene.

DEEP THROAT -Deep Thoat meets Mulder at the track "They've been here for a long, long time"

S1 - Deep Throat: End Scene

Deep Throat (Scully and Mulder at the bar/Mulder meets DP, Mulder and DP end scene),

Do you guys not have Volume 3? It's on Volume 3, disc one, track 3 "UFO Technology." Every cue in that final scene is in that track, just in a different order.
That scene is the best scene of the series, but I would prefer music we don't have, instead of recycled cues in a different order.

I think the biggest omission we need missing from Volumes 1-3 is when Scully gets at tattoo scene in Season 4, episode 13:

This music is SO amazing, and unlike so many other cues. This would be the last thing missing for me. Really surprised it hasn't been put on any volume yet... Maybe it's not Mark Snow?
