I almost feel bad that pretty much any time LLL offers a TREK release with a Dennis McCarthy autograph, I secure one and take it away from someone who may not have ever managed to get a hold of his signature.

Almost.

Or, you know, since none of these Trek scores sets have sold out, you could wait one or two days before placing your oder, leaving that autograph to somebody else.

Guys, we have a new release in two weeks (like we usually do). That's all I was getting at. It's not like it's the first time I have written those words in a post.

Finally, an expanded release of John Powell's "Two Weeks Notice"!

I love STAR TREK way too much to ever assume, regardless of past releases' sales stats.

I am very happy with this set and am enjoying the crap out of it...however those of you hoping for that one cue from Scorpion Part II where the 8472 Bioship collides with the Borg Cube (which is also the same cue that plays in a loop over the DVD menu this episode is on), you will be disappointed.

This is the clip of that scene and cue:

I plan to grab my copy tomorrow, really looking forward it. Regarding "Scorpion Part II", it could be that the either Chattaway or the LLL guys felt that the thematic material had been covered well enough in the other cues represented in the suite?

Possibly. But this piece is only barely 2 or 3 minutes in length if that.

And it is the finale cue of the episode, so I guess it is a mystery for the moment... unless someone from the LLL team wants to provide any insight!

It's not, actually. It plays about midway through the episode, the last cue of the second act. And yeah, it's basically the only significant piece of music from the two-parter that remains unreleased. But since the disc was 77 minutes, I'm guessing they didn't want to remove something from "Year of Hell" to fit it in there.

The episode sucks but the cue where they're flying is actually quite nice.

MV:

Can one assume Vol 2 will probably be the last for Voyager? Is it worth us throwing some episode requests or are they basically decided at this point?

Other than the TOS boxed set, this is my favorite La La Land "Star Trek" release. Four discs full of splendid music. I can't complain about anything in it. Love, love, love it!
