no one has mentioned yet The Entity. That one is good.
I've been listening to When a Stranger Calls a lot the last few days.
Amityville Horror is also a creepy listen.
I did listen to Elm Street 4 from the Varese box set late Friday nite and enjoyed it. (really detest the shape of the Varese box set and all of its layout. I'm thankful for the discs and the music but that box is just. I'll leave it at that.) I believe it would be SOLD OUT had it been released in a CD size box set featuring the classic Varese cover art in jewel cases

You guys do me! I dont know wot im gona do in the next hour let alone what music im playing next month!!
Same here. I don't really know what kind of mood I'll be in at any given time. I might be open to a horror score at some point in October (it happens rarely, but it does happen now and then regardless of month!), but I'll take it as it comes.
I had great fun some years ago walking my young daughter through the neighborhood trick-or-treating on Halloween with Goldsmith's Mephisto Waltz/The Other playing on my iPod. Delightfully spooky!
This year she's gone to college, which is spooky enough for me.
I'll see what the fancy takes me as the month progresses, but I do intend to give a first listen to TRICK 'R' TREAT.
However, it's going to be a brilliant Halloween month for me as I'm going to a John Landis Q&A in mid-Oct, then going to see John Carpenter in concert at the end of the month! (So yes, there will be a lot of Carpenter on the playlist in Oct.)

YES! I definitely have to look for that one.
Wow!! So many great lists. Reminds me of all the CDs that I still need to buy.
I've been playing John Carpenter's The Fog a lot lately. So much atmosphere.
As Fall approaches, I usually create an iTunes smart list of 100 random tracks pulled from all of my Horror Scores playlist then that sync with my iPod.
However, specific scores that I play often in October or plan to play this year are: The Amityville Horror April Fool's Day Ash Vs. Evil Dead Cujo Clue Creepshow Dawn of the Dead (1978) Unreleased Incidental Music Evil Dead The Exorcist Friday the 13th (all) Halloween (all) Hellraiser/Hellbound: Hellraiser II Jennifer 8 (technically not horror, but the score works for that purpose) A Nightmare On Elm Street (all) The Omen Damien: Omen II Pet Sematary Phantasm Poltergeist Poltergeist II: The Other Side Suspiria Salem's Lot Tales of Halloween Trick 'r Treat The X-Files (Volume 1 & 2)
In the end though, I listen to a lot of Midnight Syndicate in October. You cant go wrong there.

That's a great idea. And this thread has also reminded me of some great scores I am missing from my collection.
I love Halloween and October. This year, I'm kicking the month off with a screening of The Shining at the British Film Institute.
