Top class release. A must-have.

A set of this scale for "Rawhide" would feature superb music by a host of top composers. Hopefully Mr. Burlingame can be put to work producing that for us too!

This is great news! I hope they include the great cue from… wait a minute, I've never seen an episode of "Mission: Impossible." Still, I hope they don't leave out that cue.

Right ON!

Right up there with the STAR TREK Box in historical significance.
And THE RAT PATROL.

Only lacking a HAWAII-FIVE-0 Box set now to bring all my childhood dreams to fruition, since VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA is out there from another label!

RIGHT ON, BABY!

SCOTT

Wow, this is awesome. I'm a little shocked at the price tag for a 6 CD set (yes, I know getting 6 individual CDs would be $120, but usually there's more of a price break for these multi disc sets), but I'm sure I'll end up getting this eventually. I'm guessing the fancy packaging and (probably even more likely) restoration costs contributed to this costing $100, and I think that's money well spent.

This series has awesome music and I trust Jon Burlingame to pick the best of it.

Major kudos on doing this, MV!

Yavar

I think the price is reasonable. 6 CDs is quite a bit of material and lord knows it must have been quite the job to go through 7 season's worth of scores to pick out the gems. Plus, the series has had very little representation on albums (given the amount of material) and it's got an incredible theme and some very talented composers. I think it'll be money well spent.

Now there goes the rest of my summer's CD budget in one fell swoop!

Chris.

At last, at long last, they finally did it.

This is great news!

This is a masterpiece release.

With Planet of the Apes The Series, La-La Land turns 2015 into a wonderful year.

Keep up the good work!

Hot Damn!! Great news!

I of course love all of Schifrin's music, but I love, love, love... Gerald Fried's score for the 2nd season episode "Trek"!

Thanks LaLa Land!

Gentlemen!

To the couch cushions!

Let us find that one hundred dollars amongst lint and forgotten remnants of popcorn and Cheetos!

Amazing news. Also, judging from the screenhot the set looks terrific.
I accept the mission.

I wouldn't have minded a boxset for the 80s incarnation as I remember that show and it is my preferred rendition of the theme, unfamiliar with this one though I have heard the original Schifrin theme. Still it looks like a great set and will have to await some samples and maybe even check some episodes to see if there's enough to please.

P.S. is this the first time this music gets a release or is there an existing album?

99% is in mono. All tracks were hand picked by producer Jon Burlingame. There are 7 years of material there. If we were to do a complete set it would dozens and dozens of discs and a lot of repetition. lol

MV

That is surprising.
The dvds I have watched of the early seasons have been remixed in stereo (music only)
So, I thought there would be more stereo tracks available

Score CD with music from both eras from GNP released some 20+ years ago:

Plus of course two classic covers albums by Lalo S, I've got the version with both on one: Mission Anthology.

I found this very same CD - as a Japanese Import - at a Goodwill last month.

Tea leaves indeed.

Cool, GNP Crescendo seemed to have all the classic tv shows covered at one time. Checking out some youtube samples.

To be honest with you this should be $150 at least. The cost to transfer 7 years worth of episodes alone is probably more than what a lot people make in a year! Then you need to factor in restoration/mastering/producing costs, manufacturing a box set, advances, ALL royalties, AFM, etc...

Wait, why am I only charging $100 again? wink

TV shows do not come cheap, especially older ones like this. We made this set for die hard fans of the show. If you want a single disc best of compilation I'm sure you can find one at Walmart in the discount bin. We hope you guys really like it.
