Oh man, I'm thinking of another title that La La Land did, "The Sender". The University of Leeds has the stereo tapes, but the LLLR release was in mono. When pointed out the explination was: "On this particular title, we were obligated to use the source material in Paramount's possession. That material happened to be only in mono, but very good quality mono, so we decided to make this score finally available as a legitimate, official release. MV" I'm seriously hoping THE SENDER will be reissued in stereo some day. The main and end title sound glorious in the film. I was happy to purchase that album to support the release and LLL records, but nine times out of ten I'd rather not see a score get released at all if it can only be sourced from mono - especially if it was recorded in glorious-sounding stereo as that score was. Crying shame that draft politics inhibited this score's best possible presentation. To my thinking, "good quality mono" is an oxymoron. (Still grateful, MV! Don't get me wrong).

The Eiger Sanction complete. Why? Building up my JW collection. Hopefully all titles will come complete with improved sound quality. No, why will it never be released?

Stefan, Ray may be busy with other matters in connection with next week's announcement or he never looked into having THE HANGING TREE released by Chelsea Rialto. I rather assume that he isn´t allowed to write on this board about any ongoing negotiations between a CD label and the proper rights owners. By the way, two Steiner scores which had also been promised by him many years ago on this board were A DISTANT TRUMPET (which apparently still existed at Warners about 15 years ago and should have come out on a BYU CD long ago) and THE LAST COMMAND (which still exists at BYU). So maybe one of these two scores will finally be announced next week. Who knows?

The oddest remark is the one by Drivingmissdaisy saying that AFO tapes are lost. Ugottabekidding. Seriously? And no search party is being organized yet?

The Eiger Sanction complete. I thought we had that. Am I missing something? Only that it was mentioned back in 2018, long before the Intrada expansion. This is an old thread.

Morton Stevens’ “Thriller” scores and “Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein” by Frank Skimmer, though that never to be released World Premiere Record by William Stromberg and the Moscow Symphony Orchestra may have something to do with the use of Bud and Lou’s images for the C.D. inlay cover. Who's this, uh, Frank Skimmer????????
