I don't see anyone from Intrada making much direct contribution to the thread. Maybe if they did, their input would inspire comments more to your liking.
As it is, I'm sure they don't mind at all if people handing them tens of thousands of dollars chat amongst themselves about a slew of possible future opportunities to raise even more cash for them.

Haven't all of the Intrada people been scared away from this forum? I'm not sure "but what about score X" while they try to fund two other scores is all that enticing of a conversation to bring them back here.

I wouldn't say they've been "scared away." As Yavar reported, Roger was just done with the place after all the negative speculation (all of which proved completely false just days later) about their Spacecamp release. At the time, there was somebody here cynically posting that Roger would surely come back to beg for money as soon as their new Kickstarter started, but that has proved to be untrue.

Nobody should think of this project as a charity. We should give whatever it's worth to us to have this project come to fruition. I don't know why a few people seem to feel Intrada is doing something underhanded.

I mean, I may have added some extra perspective, but Roger made that much pretty clear himself on this board before he left.

Yeah funny we aren't seeing any mea culpa over that right? wink

Exactly. Most of us are simply pre-ordering the album (admittedly for a couple bucks more than we might spend on it if we waited for the "wide release"). Others have more to give and can decide to do so themselves, but they aren't being forced or anything.

A little less than five thousand remaining to reach the first of the two levels.

I think the chances are high it'll happen!!!!
Too bad that THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH probably wont..which for me would have been really interesting to listen too....
Cross my fingers for the remaining 5000,00 !!!!
Such a great thing that INTRADA does this kinda stuff.
They are doing a great deed for the preservation of Filmmusic!
And of course Tadlow etc.as well!

I think people are being complacent — wanting it, but not pledging because they think it'll be funded by others.

Although it's close, it's also running out of time.

If you want this to happen, don't be complacent. Back it.

Cheers

One thing that helps is KS campaigns usually experiance a large jump in the last two days as people who hit the 'remind me' button are notified about it again.

I donated yesterday. I actually went back and changed my pledge to higher. Hope it gets funded!

Getting closer! $46,660 as of this post (less than $3,500 to go).

$46,810 now, with 433 backers! Five days remaining and only $3,190 left to raise during that (but $13,190 left to raise to ensure The Man Who Knew Too Much as well).

I think with it coming so down to the wire this gets many more new backers in its final week than the Goldsmith one did, and I think that means it will surpass it in terms of supporters. Anyone want to make a prediction on how soon that happens?

It's getting really close! I increased my pledge by adding Elmer Bernstein's See No Evil as an add-on. Not sure if it will reach the stretch goal, but it seems the $50k will be reached before the deadline. Maybe some larger donations can make The Man Who Knew Too Much possible as well; fingers crossed!

Oh man, that was a good pick on your part: See No Evil is one of my favorite Bernstein scores! It might be my favorite thing he did in the 1970s.

I truly wish I could increase my pledge but I have already pledged more than I can afford! But I really want this to happen, both scores. I've brought this project to the attention of as many people as I can think of who might be moved to support it. I urge others to do the same.

I am possibly missing something but how exactly do I "add on" a CD as others have done? My pledge includes an Intrada CD but I can't see any option of specifying a particular title at this point. I noticed above another poster/pledger has "added" See No Evil, how is this done?

Manage your pledge at the top of the campaign main page -> change your pledge -> re-confirm the amount and you will see various add-on options

There isn't that many of them (I can see two 2) at the moment and I vaguely remember there was many more before, though... so they have been probably picked by others already...

That's great to hear! This was one release that I didn't get around to buying, but I remember being intrigued by it at the time of release. So this was an ideal opportunity.

And we're almost at the 50k mark!

I think On Dangerous Ground will be funded, very doubtful if The Man Who Knew Too Much will be to be honest. This relates to my earlier concerns on how this Kickstarter was managed.

If anybody's sitting on the fence but wants the CD, please do back this.

It will be a massive pity if this opportunity to record both these scores slips by.

I'm going to raise my pledge again, but that will only make a small difference.

This needs all the fence sitters and people who are complacently waiting to buy the CD afterwards to come forward.

Cheers

Thanks for the kick, Stephen. Just pledged to support this as I listened to the superb Black Patch / The Man recording.

Just pledged because this is really a no-brainer.

Looks like just over $1000 to reach the $50,000 level.

Those samples really helped. Like I needed them.
