So the list of studios you cannot do projects for is

WB
Sony
Fox
Disney

Worrying times.

You're confusing Sony the film studio with Sony the music label again.

Have clarified my original post smile My point still stands - bad times.

Couple of updates

1. Bumblebee has been delayed indefinitely. As soon as we have an update we will let you know.

2. I forgot that we will go back to our regular release pattern in May so the next release is May 14 (The Sentinel)

After that, it's May 28 and we hope to have The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season One and Fletch lives out then

We are currently working on our "500th release" (in our minds). That should be out late June/July. It should be quite something

That is all

Well, Fox and Disney scores can still be released by Intrada (and that's always been the case for Disney, since they started allowing licenses again). So it's not like those vaults are completely closed off. And WB doesn't sound impossible, just expensive (so will probably become much more rare). Sony Music is the worst news by far out of these, because it's just completely closed now.

But good news comes with the bad, because it seems like Universal is opening its vault doors like never before (for a long time it's been just a trickle out of that studio, probably in part because of staffing and probably in part because of expenses a la WB now). I doubt the labels are going to run out of cool stuff to release any time soon. But if there were specific Sony Music expansions you were hoping for (like I was...see Free Willy 2 by Basil Poledouris) then bad news, certainly.

Exactly Yavar. And once the internal politics or whatever it is at Sony Music settles down, their doors may open again too.

As for Batman, of course MV recently confirmed Adventures is still in the works so I would surmise it likely cleared whatever hurdle Animaniacs is unlikely to at this point. It's well known many fans really consider it BTAS Season 2, based on it being the exact same quality including music, so a LLL set (which would essentially be BTAS Volume 5) should be in the same league as the previous volumes in terms of consumer demand, and would be the true ending to that marvelous series on CD.

Of course I'm also hopeful for New Batman and the rest of Supes too.

Also it's been said a few times that multi-disc TV sets are considerably more expensive to produce, so film properties may be less affected by the higher asking prices at WB.

I fear that only Henry and I may have an immense interest from this board, MV, but are there any plans for release of Cobra Kai season 2?

Yes, I would love a season 2 release too.smile

MV,

Just wondering if there are any plans for a CD release of Cobra Kai Season 2? Or did season 1 not sell well enough to warrant a CD release? Just curious if I should hold off on buying the digital album. Thanks.

Edit: Nevermind, I just saw your post further up. That's too bad that season 1 sold so poorly. I really enjoy it and like the retro CD packaging that came with it.

Thanks, Roger. Yeah, I just saw that after I posted. That's too bad. People don't know what they're missing.

MV, considering things at Universal are picking up (yay!) how likely would a remastered/expanded Field of Dreams be?

Well it was released on a Sony Music owned label, so it would have to be one of the couple Sony expansions already in the works by LLL when the moratorium went out.

MV, did I make a big mistake when I sold my copy of The Swarm from Prometheus on CD?

Yo MV!!

Any chance Craig Safan's NIGHTMARES (1983) is blipping on the radar with the new Universal alliance?

Playing his fine unused WOLFEN score tonight, and the brief snips from the aforementioned work that show up here just ain't enough.

Peace, brotha

Speaking of UNIVERSAL/HERITAGE what about eg:

- COP & 1/2
- TWINS
- REPO MEN
- THE NUTTY PROFESSOR
- BIRD ON A WIRE (or is Zimmer holding this one up? sorry for repeating if this has already been confirmed)
- FRENZY (Mancini, Goodwin or both) - but hard to imagine someone hasn't been working on this already...

I suppose both LOVE ACTUALLY and first two BRIDGET JONES scores are still impossible because of the original song albums and different labels involved?

Don't know whats missing (if anything important) but the OST sounds awesome and it already has a nice run time.

Where does Toto's Dune fit in with "Universal Heritage? Does the Dino De Laurentiis factor complicate things? Wasnt there also a third party involved in the production?

I wonder with the forthcoming Dune movie (and the 35th anniversary of the original) if the chances of an expansion are more likely or not.
