What a gorgeous cover for THE NIGHT OF THE HUNTER that has been posted. Now if only there is a record label to record the score. Hope springs eternal.

Thank you.

2022 was such a great year with so many unexpected surprises. It can only get better, so thank you to all the labels making my listening dreams come true!

My wish list for 2023 and beyond:

1. Goblin, St. Helen's (including the honky-tonk songs played at the bar).

2. Franco Campanino, Cannibal Holocaust II: The Catherine Miles Story

3. Daniele Patucchi, Wild Beasts (complete with the instrumental themes and vocal tracks featuring Douglas Meakin)

4. Daniele Patucchi, Dolce e Selvaggio

5. Daniele Patucchi, Turbo Time (newly remastered with cues from both the Italian CAM release and the Eastworld Japanese release. I own both but would like to see it all in one definitive package).

6. Fabio Frizzi, Blast Fighter (*complete with Tammi Baby's rendition of Barry Gibb's "Evening Star").

7. Guido and Maurizo De Angelis, Raiders of Atlantis

8. Claudio Simonetti, Cut and Run

9. Lugi Ceccarelli, RATS

10. Lugi Ceccarelli, Strike Commando

Pipe dream: Somewhere out there in Italy, buried beneath some foot-worn boards in an old monastery, exists a duplicate copy of Marcello Giombini's Antropophagus waiting to be unearthed. Until then, dig it, y'all, and may the groove be with you in 2023.

They Might Be Giants or Raise the Titanic would be nice if masters could be found for RtT.

Amen to that.

Cheers

In order of priority - for me.

1. Raise The Titanic! - but I'm resigned to the fact this will NEVER happen so the COP and original soundtrack suite will have to do.

2. Expanded Bonds - TMWTGG, TSWLM. MR, OP, AVATAK - Any, or all, would be fine with me.

And that would be me at Soundtrack nirvana!

Mostly as nostalgia, but I really want some music from the eighties series "Automan" released (Stu Philips, Morton Stevens were involved along a few other composers). Maybe Dragon's Domain Records can do something? :-)

No one seems to have mentioned Fred Karlin's unreleased music for The Man From Atlantis yet. So I will.

Think Man From Atlantis was just mentioned on the Six Million Dollar Man thread, along with a mention of the condition of the master tapes.

My wish list for 2023 and beyond:

[SNIP]

8. Claudio Simonetti, Cut and Run

That = autobuy. I can't believe it's unreleased, since nearly everything else Claudio has done is out there, even if incomplete.

On that note, Jan Hammer has personally remastered his score for Secret Admirer but has posted only two of the tracks. Is there a label willing to step up and release this!? ("Finale" was the lone instrumental on the soundtrack release.)

They already heard the call, moolik. I remember that someone from a label (maybe MV at LLL or Roger at Intrada) posted that only a few reels survive from the score and they're hoping the rest of it can be found before a release is produced.

Me too, but what's different in this case is that apparently some tapes exist but it's only a fraction of the score with key parts missing. Maybe a label could do something like what FSM did with Goldsmith's The Satan Bug (half music only, half with intrusive FX)... but I don't think that release was too popular (it's still available all these years later) so the impetus might not be there to produce something compromised like that.

Not sure why but of all the McClure classics I watched as a kid, this score really stuck with me. Happy to have a decent opening/end title to listen to at least. Seems like something BSX would give some love.
