I got to see first-hand as Wendy Neuss (sourpuss supreme post-producer supervisor) made snotty, pointless comments about the cues, trying to tone down passages that were already very subtle to begin with.

I'd like to spew venom at her, but I don't have a current address. A little help here?

Um, I trust we are joking and not actually looking to harass someone. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that's on here:

Track 8.

Incorrect. That's the sound design that was used for the wormhole sequence. It's a lot more audible in the Director's Edition thanks to there being the lack of that annoying Klaxon.

Alright I get it thanks for the insight... Perhaps maybe for those scores that have short transition play cues they could be represented on another "Unfinished Business" bonus disc or something? maybe just a dream of mine.... what was it like being in the session for Cause and Effect?

It was very exciting and I felt very fortunate to be there. Ford Thaxton and Mark Banning took me, and now all these years later we are releasing it on CD, with La-La Land. I got to see first-hand as Wendy Neuss (sourpuss supreme post-producer supervisor) made snotty, pointless comments about the cues, trying to tone down passages that were already very subtle to begin with. She later married, and divorced, Patrick Stewart.

Lukas

I have to add, Lukas, that I've never seen anyone make changes on the stand as quickly as Dennis McCarthy. The man has an engineer's brain and is just a brilliant problem solver (and cool cucumber under pressure).

And a few years later, you were kind enough to take me to a scoring session for the "Deep Space Nine" episode "Dramatis Personae," scored by Jay Chattaway. It was a ton of fun, and very impressive to see in person. I remember the music shaking the room (and then being dialed down to next-to-nothing in the episode).

For this reason, "Dramatis Personae" is a score I'd love to have on CD someday. I also remember it as being a solid Chattaway action score (so my reasoning is not entirely selfish!).

Now there's a DS9 episode I haven't thought about it years! I should really revisit it to check out Chattaway's score. I remember the excitement of watching DS9 and noticing how a bit more activity in the music was being allowed, more than what was heard on TNG in the parallel season.

Seems she was "on a mission from Berman" there.

Kudos to McCarthy and Chattaway for putting up with that stuff all those years.

Also, kudos to Ron Jones for NOT putting up with it.

Forgot if it was mentioned yet, but one track from "Way of the Warrior" that wasn't put on the GNP album was the Defiant vs. Klingon track. That would be a good one for this set.

Additional suggestions:

THE ENEMY (TNG):
- When Geordi and the romulan are beamed to the bridge at the end. The cue starts when Picard orders Worf to lower the shields, and later on there's a good variant of the Picard theme.

TRANSFIGURATIONS (TNG):
- The action cue that plays when John tries to escape using a shuttle (the scene that ends with Worf being thrown over the railing).
- The final cue of the episode is a must as well, though this one has been mentioned already both by myself and others

PLEASE let's have the TNG Survivors second warship scene/Enterprise retreats music. This, in my opinion, is the best music of the episode.
Netflix time code: 24:49 - 27:03. How does the music box tune trump this? Thank you!!!

I just remembered a cue that I'd really like to have on CD. In "Time Squared" there's a scene when the crew watches video playback from the duplicate shuttle. The music for that sequence is the only cue from the episode that I feel still needs a release.

I don't have a Netflix time stamp. Sorry.

Since the thread is still open, I'd like to submit another wish list smile

ATTENTION: Since I don’t have access to the American Netflix, I used the German versions on Amazon Instant Video. Therefore the time codes might differ a bit. The time code difference should not be bigger than 10 – 15 seconds, though.

BOLD cues or scores have a higher priority than others, in my opinion.

TNG Season 4, Episode 22 Half a Life
I'm surprised this wonderful intimate emotional score hasn't been included in the previous sets since McCarthy got a (deserved) Emmy nomination for this one.

Good point on that Emmy win, you're right that it would be a good contender for inclusion.

Amen to Half a Life! One of my very favorites in all Trek, and until this moment never thought of hearing the music separately - big hope for this one.

In addition to my previous video requests, yes they were serious, there are two other pieces from Voyager that I just heard that I would love to hear on any release. The time stamps are from the DVDs.

S3 E7 - Sacred Ground
42:00ish-43:40 - Taking Kes to the Shrine (The synthesized vocals here and in other cues in this episode work very well)

S3 E18 - Darkling
44:27 - Doctor’s Oath (Final cue before the credits)

It just occurred to me- I don't suppose there is any sort of suite for 'Picard's Theme?'* I know we have a track from the Encounter at Farpoint disc- but there have been so many little variations of it, from Elementary Dear Data's final track to the beginning of the battle in Peak Performance, all the way up to a subtle, rare later-season placement in All Good Things.

I assume it would be cost-prohibitive beyond the realm of this CD set to create or record (or possibly even edit) a new arrangement, but an extended suite for this theme would sure be a nice treat (and make up for its lack of use in the TNG movies... :-( ).

That reminds me- any of the score from Peak Performance, namely Worf agreeing to serve, the Hataway powering up, and the the battle itself, that isn't in the new CD set would also be great...

*Similarly, there is an 'Enterprise' theme used a number of times, most prominently at the very start of 'The Child,' but reprised elsewhere (often paired with the Picard theme), that would be great to hear in some sort of suite or extended edit.

Similarly, I don't have the 4-disc DS9 set, so I'm not sure if 'The Assignment' track covers this- but the repair montage which is interrupted by Dax, as is the ending of The Quickening (The birth/revelation of the child/sweeping shot for Bashir's departure). So sorry I don't have any timecode for these.
