I hope it is Goldfinger, and based on the font used, it had better be. Goldfinger is the life blood of the series, and even if this release has nothing new, perhaps the sound has been improved.

I'd pick OddJob's Pressing Engagement as a favorite cue. La-La Land revisiting this score is going to be awesome.

If this should be a 2-CD set of Goldfinger, with CD1 reserved for complete score and alternates, I wonder which incarnation of the LP program they’ll choose to include on CD2? There are two of them, one has four extra score tracks (bonus tracks on the 2003 album), the other has the instrumental main theme arrangement. Both programs would actually fit on a CD together, so could they possibly include both on CD2? Unless the album program is a unique mix or mastering from tapes there is really no need for it if it has all the full cues on 1 cd - how to program it mentioned in the liner notes should do the trick

In an interview John Barry said that there were two Newley demos, one very basic and the other slightly more filled out. I think the one that's been released is the latter. I'd really like to know--not in any interview or article I've read and not in Burlingame's book--how the song "Goldfinger" evolved from a slinky Kurt Weill style to a full-blown blast of brass and Bassey.

I read a Guy Hamilton interview years ago. He said Barry was obliging and quick on his feet, giving an example of the "Dawn Raid" music when the director thought something wasn't working. Barry made the adjustments on the spot and spoke to the orchestra, stating that the strings would be tacet from bar x to bar y. Or something like that. So, yes, it would be interesting to hear that first version.
