Sweet! And seeing as how I completely forgot about the scores for parts I and II on CD, I see they’re now sold out. Anyone know if Waxwork typically restocks, or do I need to go on the hunt for the scores elsewhere?
Grabbed my copy of 3 too. Happy to complete the trilogy, though I still wish LLL had gotten them so we'd have booklets and substantial extras. Oh well.
I haven't seen the movies, but I love the scores for parts I & II, so I was excited about the announcement for part 3...
Then I listened to some samples on youtube and discovered that the score for part III is NOTHING like the first two; it's mostly suspenseful, atmospheric synthscapes with sprinkles of synth taiko drumming and sneaking around music. Is that accurate? If so, I'll probably pass on this third entry.

It's pretty accurate (I suspect Du Prez's orchestra budget got cut with each sequel). The full score is a bit of a slog but it does have some great moments in it though, and Waxwork's presentation appears to be an album assembly so I'm intrigued to see if they've put together a more listenable experience.
I really enjoy the music to the first two but I already expect Part III to be substantially different
I wasn't too happy with the presentation of II in some respects such as the odd looping at the end of the first track or how the 'Turtles returning home' cue is blended awkwardly to the start of "Cowabunga Says It All", but the actual music itself is great fun and I'm happy to have it at all. Like Beverly Hills Cop, I never thought these scores would get an official release
I can't think of any particular cues from III that I'm looking forward to but I'll probably watch the movie again soon so will see if anything jumps out at me
Waxwork's CD release of the first score was re-pressed at least once before this most recent reissue, so hopefully there's another batch coming for part 3.
