Wow. Did they post this somewhere?

It's been posted on the John Barry Appreciation FB group by reliable sources.

Also on the La-La-Land FB group.

Surely this one deserves a thread of it's own?

Somewhere In Time – is my favourite John Barry score – outside his James Bond scores…
This release could make it my all-time favourite! Thank You La La Land Records!

I hope that the source cues are also released! (I want those dance tracks).

Great release. Now how about a premiere release of John Barry's score to THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS. It was a Universal film.

(Repeated from another thread on the same topic.)

The original 1980 album was excellent but was of course only 30 minutes including the Rachmaninoff, and included different versions of some tracks to the film.

The Varese Sarabande album was also excellent, all faithful to the film versions and recorded most of the score.

The value of this is it is (I presume, surely must be) the *PREMIERE* release of the full film tracks.

Plus, remember there could be alternates. Varese's version of 'Coin' is clearly not the version in the film, something I always noticed, so maybe the track in the film was a revision.

Plus, there is a lot of source music in the film, like the jazz music in the car. Remember, when Reeve's character takes off in the car at the start of the film.

I don't know the details any more than any of you, but I wouldn't be surprised if this CD surprises us more than we expect to be surprised.

Cheers

I've stopped listening to Classic FM, but I bet they will play the hell out of this.
