This is being released in a week and is there a possibility of a real CD release too of this score?

Would be TERRIFIC if a CD release would come. With extensive liner notes from Pat Leonard and director James Foley of course.

We don't know yet if this is trully an isolated score or a music + SFX track until someone gets the disc and confirms it. I remember asking TT about it, and they said they're working on it (they weren't sure at the time if it'll include SFX or not). So, if this does include SFX, it will more than likely mean that the master tapes have been lost, and a cd release won't be possible.

Of course, but I don't think any label would be as stupid as not contacting the composer and director to get a solid booklet for their release. I'm sure Leonard and Foley would be happy to be in the project.

The Remains of the day also said isolated score, but it was really the album cues edited, and cues with SFX for the unreleased music. That's why I'm waiting for someone to confirm if this is indeed a real isolated score.

I actually just watched this film again a few weeks ago. It was interesting to note that two of the first three people credited at the end were Madonna. Who had not been involved in the body of the film one bit, save for banging the star. She probably owns every note of the music. Pat Leonard probably owns just as much as Madonna.

It's a great song, and I love every time the notes pop up in the score.

Isn't Madonna singing as the voice inside Sean Penn's head?

Granted, I haven't seen the movie since VHS, and when I think about the score, it has all the tracking bends and tape pops in there.

You have invisotext? You must be RICH! Also, wouldn't it be great if he recorded the score onto VHS tapes and that's why it's been such a pain to release? I'll see myself out.

Yeah, the song was written for a different movie, but it was so good that this is how Leonard ended up scoring At Close Range. Something like that.
