Wow, now THIS came out of left field.

Not only is the animated series one of my most cherished childhood memories (we had cable back in the mid 80s). I was such a big fan that I owned a LOT of stuff from the universe. I had Castle Greyskull, Skeletor, He-Man, Adam, Man-at-Arms, Orco, Battle Cat, Panthera, Clawful and several others.

What I'm trying to say is if I ever get this, it would be for nostalgic reasons alone. Outside the iconic main theme song, I can't remember much of the music.

Blimey, I remember the cartoon series well from my childhood. Can't say I remember the music at all though, not even the theme.

However, I will be checking out the samples when it goes on full release.

Wow, now THIS came out of left field.

It wasn't actually - an animated TV series release was being hinted at by MV in the 'All News La La Land' thread.

I don't know what to say.

So the gates of Mattel have finally opened!

Considering MV has been banging on their door for a while now (and I remember him saying you would have better luck negotiating with a rattle snake than with Mattel), his patience and persistence has finally paid off!

I see. I don't follow speculation and/or announcement threads, so that must have passed me by.

What's even more interesting about this release is that He-Man reused music from my grail of grails The Mysterious Cities of Gold cartoon series by the same composers (the tapes reportedly rotted away) so there's a chance that some of that music will be released on here. I know the Snake Mountain theme was a direct lift from MCoG.

I've revisited this show a couple of times recently for something else that I won't go into here....but suffice to say there's some damn good stuff in there....

Very cool to see Shuki Levy & Haim Saban's music released on La-La Land records, I hope RGB is a possibility as well. Could this be the start of more classic 80s cartoons getting score releases? Lets hope so.

Who is "Erika Lane"? Does she perhaps usually go by another name?

Can't find a listing on IMDB. Anybody know?

"Erika Lane" is a pseudonym for Filmation co-founder Lou Scheimer, derived from the names of his children. I don't know if he ever claimed to have personally written music for the series (he doesn't in his memoir), but he was intimately involved in the show's creative decisions, and the shared credit was part of the arrangement with Levy & Saban.

His daughter Erika Scheimer is the singer of "Secret of the sword" film theme.

This is not our mastered version but I found this on youtube and had to share it today. For this track alone we had to release this score. I am sure you have someone in your life who should have this music playing as they walk around.

At last!
Wonderful cover!
Make me want order two.
Some questions...
The official He-Man channel on YouTube releases on weekly basis a new cue. Sourced from music & effects track then isolating the music by software.
La-La Land release used a music only source, right?
The original foreign LP has been released under license of Saban Records back then, then bought by Disney (information from the web). So the music licensing was possible due Disney collaboration?
How much time on production?
