New Branagh/Doyle collab. Doyle has already written a waltz for the Ball scene.
"Doyle’s score for the Disney movie is going to have audiences humming and dah-dah-dahing happily ever after. Listening to it as I watched a ballroom scene, where Lily and Richard were all but flying, I was unable to stop myself bobbing from side to side in time with the music. I looked around and spotted several burly crewmen swaying, too. Doyle said the instructions from Kenneth Branagh, the film’s director, were for the waltz to be simple and effective. ‘Ken gave me very succinct and intelligent notes about the mood and the atmosphere he anticipates for the film, but there was a great emphasis on romance,’ Patrick said, when we chatted on the famed 007 sound stage at Pinewood. ‘The complete sparkle and magic had to be present in the simpleness of the melodies, so that the whole sway of that waltz lends itself to romance.’ I was hearing the full orchestrated piece, complete with violins and cellos, but Doyle said the idea is that a child should be able to pick out the tune on a piano with one finger. He worked on the composition in France, and sent through a rough version, which ended up being used during the screen tests for Cinderella. The film continues shooting, and post production will take up the first half of next year. However, audiences won’t be able to see the finished picture till Easter 2015.
"I'm working on Cinderella even as we speak. I've seen a 12-minute assembly of it and I know I enthuse but I kid you not – it is unbelievable. It's the most extraordinary, beautiful thing you've ever seen. I've written three waltzes and a polka and the studio love it. Kids are going to go crazy for the film, it's the most luxurious, beautiful thing. Lilly James from Downton Abbey is just fantastic and Ken [Branagh] has done a fantastic job. I don't know how he does it. He's just finished Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, now he's at work on this; in-between he's working on Macbeth and he's got Wallander set up. I don't know how he does it."

What's frustrating is that Patrick wrote special music for the trailer, as requested. Disney cancelled the sessions to record it though. Shame.
Perhaps we could get at least Cinderella trailer music included as the part of Patrick Doyle's upcoming Prague concert... so it wouldn't be lost entirely... that's definitely worth checking out ;-)
That waltz piece from Cinderella is great! I can't wait to hear that fully realized with a orchestra. Sounds like vintage Doyle with a great memorable melody. I have high hopes for this score. "Brave" was a great score and I think Doyle is a perfect choice for this type of movie.

full length trailer just released. Can anyone identify the score?
The first third is definitely Doyle, it's very similar to the main theme from ERAGON. The rest of it sounds like it must be Doyle too, but then I said that last time, and it proved to be James Newton Howard instead
It's remarkable that the trailer with just the shoe for over a minute, is overwhelmingly superior and vastly more enjoyble than the trailer with actual scenes fro mthe film. Good God that film looks terrible, replete with the junk I was hoping it would not have.
I'd rather watchan hour-long film creatively shot of a glass slipper with J.N.H. score.
