A few different topics on this score..

But since Shout recently re-released the Vincent Price Collection volume 1, I watched this for the very first time. I instantly fell in love with the score - which is something that doesn't seem to happen as often these days. I was able to purchase the score digitally via iTunes. I hadn't heard of Paul Ferris before this (he has a few scenes in the movie, including a death scene) but his love theme in this movie is just outstanding. Especially as it plays over the scenes of riding through the English countryside.

This also sticks out as different than a lot of the Price horror movie scores from that time. It's not as in-your-face, and very moody. I'm glad that I found this one. Any other fans of this score out there?

Count me as one. I have always loved the film and score .And was.vowled.over when it was released. The music for riding across the countryside always smacks of 'Englishness' to me.

yes a classic score , been a fan of the movie since the early days, and a big fan of Michael Reeves.
at rick of repeating info ,worth noting that Paul Ferris is in the as a soldier with the credit name of Morris Jar, no prize for guessing who he was a fan of. talk in the UK of a 4k coming of the export cut. i have a 45 that came out in the 60s of a cover version of the theme.by a easy listening Orch.

Yes that's the one, it sat pride of place with the 45 of the great Robinson Crusoe, and still does i might add

Prior to writing I pulled out my copy. I bought it down London way. I think it was from Bernie Waugh, who had a soundtrack shop. I could be wrong but I think he said that Roberto Mann was an alias for Ferris.
