MONDAY, NOVEMBER 4
WONDER WOMAN---Jaimie Alexander (THOR: THE DARK WORLD) hinted she may be discussing playing Wonder Woman in Warner Bros.' BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN in addition to returning as Sif in a third Marvel Studios THOR movie. Alexander said she was, "having discussions with both companies." She also said, "I would love for DC to put Wonder Woman in one of their upcoming flicks, either in her own movie or Batman vs. Superman, or just something even to introduce her."
FORBES magazine interviewed Alexander about BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN and reported, "[Alexander] kind of knows the story line for that movie." This led to speculation she might play Wonder Woman in BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN. She also might play Wonder Woman in a stand-alone movie that Warners has said it's very interested in developing.
STAN LEE'S MIGHTY 7---Stan Lee superhero franchise underway including three animated movies, an animated tv series and an Archie Comics comic book. The movie plot for the first movie, BEGINNINGS, involves Lee encountering seven aliens with super powers who are fleeing evil forces and the military from their own planet. He takes them to his Malibu house and teaches them to use their powers to become superheroes.
The movie's voice cast includes Lee as himself, Armie Hammer as Strong Arm, Teri Hatcher as Silver Skylark, Christian Slater as Lazer Lord, Sean Astin as Kid Kinergy, Mayim Bialik as Lady Lightning, Darren Criss as Micro, Flea as Roller Man, Michael Ironside as Xanar and Jim Belushi as Mr. Cross.
THE EXTINCTION PARADE---the Max Brooks (WORLD WAR Z) comic book about vampires battling zombies to save mankind for its blood supply is being made into a tv series according to one source, "[the comic book] currently in the process of being signed as a tv series for one of the most successful production companies in Hollywood."
STAR TREK 3---Joe Cornish (ATTACK THE BLOCK) is reported to be the top candidate to direct the sequel.
THE CLIENT LIST---Lifetime canceled the series after unsuccessful negotiations with Jennifer Love-Hewitt who reportedly wanted her real life pregnancy and relationship with co-star Brian Hallisay be included in the series.
IT TAKES A THIEF---movie underway based on the cat burglar tv series that starred Robert Wagner and Malachi Throne. The movie involves a young CIA agent who recruits a master thief to work for the government. Universal Pictures might be planning on the movie to be the first in a franchise. The original series ran on ABC from 1968-1970.
STUNG---photo released from the horror movie in which a male and female catering employees fall in love as they battle giant mutated wasps who attack a high-society event. Peter Stormare, Lance Henriksen and Jessica Cook star.
ROCKY & BULLWINKLE---DreamWorks Animation short film underway with June Foray returning as the voice of Rocky. The studio is also releasing an animated movie about characters who were in the original tv series MR. PEABODY & SHERMAN.
MODERN FAMILY---Jesse Eisenberg, Jane Krakowski and John Benjamin Hickey will guest star on the same episode. ABC ordered full-season episodes for THE GOLDBERGS, TROPHY WIFE and four episodes of SUPER FUN NIGHT. ABC did not order new episodes for BACK IN THE GAME.
CULT---new untitled NBC sitcom starring Ellie Kemper (THE OFFICE) about a woman who escapes from a cult and starts life over in New York. Tina Fey is co-writer/co-producer.
SOCIETY 2: BODY MODIFICATION---sequel underway to the 1989 cult horror movie SOCIETY that starred Billy Warlock (BAY WATCH). Writer/director Brian Yuzna said, "It would take place in these super-exclusive late-night clubs they have in Hollywood. Once you get in there's always a VIP room, or a VVIP room that's always off limits...The problem is, as always, financing."
DIRT---biomovie underway based on the book about Motley Crue.
