Not sure if it was mentioned in another thread (I didn't find anything via search), but I was saddened to learn that Buddy Bregman passed away earlier this year. I was enjoying another listen to Delicate Delinquent tonight and was checking out more about the composer online when I saw he was no longer with us.
Yes, Buddy had been in a home for several years suffering from Alzheimer's and dementia. I saw him not too long before all that began happening. We made one helluva album together - Swing it was called and it's worth checking out on Amazon. Spectacular work from Buddy, and we put together a fantastic band for him and the sound is tops.
