I've read the script and this should be great or at least a good comedy (unintentionally, of course).

For the composers: nothing against Balfe, but I would like to hear Beck's music more than him.

Isn't Balfe the tool who recently mocked others for having any kind of musical training and using
words and terms he had no time for?

Can someone point me to a link for this?

I think they are referring to this radio program.

It's like they didn't just go down market, they went all the way down, as far as they could, and got the worst they could find to score this. Not just RCP but the very worst of RCP. Remember when Arnie films were scored by Goldsmith, Horner, Poledouris, Silvestri? Remember when Brad Fiedel scored The Terminator? Oh happier times...

It was Balfe's contempt in that interview that turned me against him.
It's like he's pi$$ing on the effort and work composers like Goldsmith and Bernstein put in to find the 'key' to score their films. The psychology of the thought behind their scores is just a pretentious trait to him, getting in the way of cashing those cheques and crapping out his scores!

Well, to be fair, Fiedel turned it down. But he contacted Beck to congratulate him (and, I assume, give him some pointers). Looks now like that that congrat's were early.

No need to contact Balfe and give them again, since he pissed on the abilities Brad has and has used in other non electronic scores.

Looks like Beck got replaced by Balfe and Zimmer, according to the new motion poster.

I guess Junkie XL wasn’t available or couldn’t be bothered because he was too busy tweeting photos of himself during every moment of scoring Batman V Superman, including whenever he sneezes, farts, burps, eats, drinks, picks his nose, uses the restroom, etc.

Taylor and co. must’ve temp tracked this waste of film with music from The Dark Knight Trilogy, which is probably why they replaced Beck with Balfe and Zimmer. Heck certain cues from Thor 2 (also directed by Taylor) sound like it was temp tracked with music from The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.

But I think the score will be the least of Terminator Genisys problems.

Judging from the news about what character Matt Smith is playing, I think you'll be proved correct.

So John Connor is a robot now? WTF?

Beck is probably happy to be off it razz

Not to drag this off topic but the movie looks hideous. Whoever is playing Sarah Connor could not be any more bland in her line delivery and everyone else seems to be delivering in that slow, melodramatic manner that plagues Hollywood these days (with that THIS...LINE....IS......SOOOOOO...........MOMENTOUS! cadence that no sane person ever talks with). I had a splitting headache after watching that trailer and it seriously made me not want to see the movie. Which is a shame given the franchise.

Sounds like a poor cover of the T2 main title :-/

Couldn't they have posted a second track that doesn't rely so much on Fiedel's work? It would give an idea of what Lorne Balfe did on his own bat at least.

Wow, that is literally Fiedel's T2 main title but produced by Zimmer and Alan Meyerson! Like, I like it but I hate it at the same time.
