Being that the original tracks to the William Castle film are MIA, I edited some cues and posted. Hope one and all enjoys in keeping with the Halloween spirit and all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuKhFkG832U
What a wonderful job! "HHH" is one of my all time favorites and I love Von Dexter's music. If you will contact me, I have some information I can share with you about Mr. Dexter:
Thank you so much. This crazy little flick aired a gazillion times when I was a kid and I think I caught it every time. To this day I've always wanted to order a Scotch Anne whatever that is. Not to mention a bunch of those tiny little coffins.
VON DEXTER'S music scores to House on haunted hill and The tingler were great assets to both those cult classics. He scores also were a plus for 2 lesser known Castle films Mr Sardonicus and 13 ghosts.Didn't he also write that very catchy theme for the TV show This is your life?
I always got a kick out of the scene when VINCENT shows the guest the guns in each coffin. he takes the gun and says. I am sure all of you know how to use one of these but in case you don't. Interesting line.
LOL I ended up going to library and taking out DVD and watched the whole thing late this afternoon. Amazing what you hear as a kid--it was not "Scotch Anne" but "Scotch And" and it came from Robert Mitchum's sister! At least I got the "little coffins" right.
