Now that the sheet music has been unearthed for so many unusual film scores and songs, we have decided to bring in a professional pianist and a few vocalists to plow through the pile and play through a bunch of them.
Here is the first of those recordings: THE ADVENTURES OF HAJJI BABA by Dimitri Tiomkin with lyrics by Ned Washington.
The singer is Rena Strober who is sight-reading this with no rehearsal. The pianist, who is doing the same is Mike Farrell. Singer Stephen Van Dorn looks on for moral support.

Wow, that was great! What a fun start to these sheet music recordings! Lovely fun performance and accompaniment. Keep 'em coming. This is going to wonderful fun!
Thanks to all involved for your time and effort and energy for such a cool project!
could this score be lying around in the fox vaults since they are known to preserve their music and one day be available for commercial release? thanks for any information.

THE ADVENTURES OF HAJJI BABA was an independent Walter Wanger production produced for Allied Artists Pictures. 20th Century-Fox was only the distributor of the film.
Other than the final negative which they have a right to print from and distribute, I doubt if Fox has, or ever had, any other ownership or elements on the film. It's also entirely possible the score was never even recorded at Fox, but some other rental recording studio in town.
