Anyone else liking his score for this surprisingly great show?

Um, 71 views so far but no comment. Does that mean people are interested in the score but don´t like it enough to say so?

No, we just like to watch.

Like Norman.

His website is under re-design again -- no samples. His Kraft-Engel page only has one cue up. Not impressive.

Some of us don't watch it.

I like Chris Bacon a lot, but have never seen the show before. Sorry!

Good show, cool musical moments. We asked for it while we were working on GRIMM, but it was already spoken for. A soundtrack will be coming out eventually, but not through us.

I like the show (fantastic first season). The music just never really stood out to me that noticeably. But that seems to be the case with a lot of television scores these days. frown

Great find!

I hope so - it´s definitely one of my favourite tv scores of the last years.

So Lakeshore Records is releasing Volume 2 instead of Varese. Regardless I'm relieved more music is being released. And am looking forward to Volume 2.

Unfortunately, I was hoping for a release of the scores for season 3 and 4.

The October 7 release on Lakeshore Records is again for seasons 1 and 2.

I hope they're not reusing the same tracks from the Varese release b/c they're reusing some of the same cue titles (Bradley and Norman, Brothers, and Motorcycle Ride).

So, has anyone out there listened to both releases - Varese and Lakeshore? I just wondered to what extent (if at all) they overlap, and which comes with the highest recommendation. Any assistance appreciated!

They are both fantastic, offering a great choice of these seasons. Hopefully they will continue to release Bacon´s superb work on this wonderful show.

So did the Lakeshore release reuse the music from "Bradley and Norman", "Brothers", and "Motorcycle Ride" from the Varese release? Or just the track titles? I was wondering b/c each of those tracks share the same track titles on both releases.

"Bradley and Norman" and "Motorcycle Ride" are the same, "Brothers" is different.

But the Varese release features selections season 1 and 2, the Lakeshore release offers tracks from season 3 and 4. I have not thoroughly tracked down whether the series itself reuses cues - but if you like the music you will not be disappointed if you purchase both.

Thanks for the info - I have noticed the music more in the recent seasons than I did initially, so I will go Lakeshore first then possibly add Varese later depending on how much I enjoy it outside of the show.
