The BBC have also ended their experimentation with 3D broadcasts (Nov 23rd Doctor Who special will be the last)...seems to me that there is actually not THAT much out there that fully exploits the capabilities...it will be a shame if it does yet another death - especially with all the investment post-Avatar...we'll see.

Saw Gravity at the weekend and that's the first time I've seen a 3D movie and thought the 3D was an important and integral part of the film and not just a bit of novelty value.

I think other films carry SOME 3D off nicely...i've got a tally on another thread of films that (in my opinion) have good 3D and bad...but you know, pretty-much nothing I've seen on the silver screen comes as close to poking me in the eye than the Terminator 3D ride at Universal...the 3D in which is incredible...but something seems to hold filmmakers back oin it....fear of making the audience sick over 2 hours? I don't know....just rarely seems to exploit it as much as they could.

Haven't seen Gravity yet...looking forward to it....along with House of Wax, of course!!
