Hi All

Check out my new interview with composer LORNE BALFE, the team player who's making a versatile voice for his own as he hauntingly jumps into the striking videogame BEYOND: TWO SOULS (out today), suspensefully tracks down SALINGER and chillingly stalks a serial killer on THE FROZEN GROUND, musical experiences he reflects on at:

Thanks as always for clicking on Filmmusicmag.com for the latest composer interviews and soundtrack reviews! Now I'm off to listen my PS3!

Will check it out. Not a big fan of Balfe but I've heard good things about this score. Just a quick erratum: It's Beyond: Two Souls, not Beyond Two Souls.

Thanks Mastadge. Fixed! Those darn colons that every videogame title seems to have! smile

Guess they wanted Zimmer, and even Zimmer couldn't tolerate this shallow QTE game desperately pretending to be a movie.

Actually, they wanted Normand Corbeil, but sadly he passed away. I think he wrote some music for the game too, but am not sure if they used it.

So does Zimmer earn your respect for preferring to compose for braindead shooters such as Call of Duty 6 and Crysis 2 over this piece of QTE art?

Whereas Doyle actually composed for a game that's actually fun and not a rehash of much of anything.

(I can do it too!)
