Besides our already announced AWESOME LIMITED EDITION DAY OF THE DEAD 2-cd set ($19.98) we have coming out next Tuesday we have one more title to add to our catalog:

BLACK BEAUTY EXPANDED LIMITED EDITION
MUSIC BY DANNY ELFMAN
LIMITED EDITION OF 3000 UNITS
LLLCD 1273
RETAIL PRICE: $19.98

REISSUE PRODUCED BY DAN GOLDWASSER
REISSUE MASTERED BY JAMES NELSON
LINER NOTES BY JEFF BOND
ART DIRECTOR: DAN GOLDWASSER

La-La Land Records, Warner Bros and WEA are proud to announce the expanded edition to one of Danny Elfman's greatest scores BLACK BEAUTY, written and directed by Caroline Thompson. Lush, gorgeous, melodic and inspirational -- this magnificent score gets the deluxe treatment "La-La Land style" with an expanded program clocking in at nearly 79 minutes, tracks remastered by James Nelson, and a 24 page booklet with in depth liner notes by Jeff Bond, including comments by composer Danny Elfman and writer/director Caroline Thompson. This is our favorite non-Burton score of Elfman's! He taps into the soul of the characters that made his scores to Edward Scissorhands and Dolores Claiborne so memorable. A must for any Elfman or film music fan alike!

Also, coming next week is our annual SPOOKTACULAR SALE where we slash the prices on nearly all of our horror titles!

PLEASE NOTE: we will be offering composer ONLY signed copies of DAY OF THE DEAD when it goes on sale next Tuesday at 12 pm pst. As always, there is no extra charge for this signed booklet, quantities are limited and you are not guaranteed a signed edition.

See y'all next week! Stay scared!

Hahahahahahahahahaha GERHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD

Oh well. I've rarely gotten burned taking a chance on something on the secondary market so I can't complain. I'm sure it'll be a gorgeous set and it's a lovely score.

Still, great news. I had no idea so much music was missing!

Black Beauty! I've been waiting for this one for a long time. I've really enjoyed the seven tracks that are on Music For a Darkened Theater. Absolutely gorgeous music.

I've already got my new Day of the Dead CD from the awesome screening last night. The whole panel was terrific and shared some great stories. Seems like they could have gone on reminiscing all night. It was great to see Joe Pilato and Greg Nicotero out there, too. It seems the whole panel enjoyed seeing and interacting with the fans. It was a fantastic time for a longtime fan of the film like myself. Thanks to everyone who made the night possible.

Beautiful score, one of my favourites by Elfman. I've had the old release for quite some time, but it was rare even when I got it back in the early 2000s, so I'm glad it's been made available again for all those who missed it the first time around.

I hope "La-La-Land" style doesn't mean some shitty unlistenable 'bonus' at the end...

But 79 minutes means probably not unless they are including it in that number...

A huge favorite score of mine, can't wait...

I've always been curious about this score from Elfman's Golden Era, haven't heard a note of it, though. Added to my Wishlist at any rate.

Awesome! I love these early 90's scores to family oriented movies as I saw so many of them growing up. LLL is the best!

Remember when first heard. End credits and death of Diana special. Death had just occurred. Really fit showing scenes from her life. Called abc. They told me and said wait till you see what we will use for mother Teresa. Never did see or find out.

To be young without smartphones and
sound hound and only the early Internet.
