Not bad, but do keep in mind they are planning a similar HD treatment to the show as what TNG got on blu-ray.

Good tip. Thank you.

Even so, for a show that I keep meaning to make my way through but don't want to pay $60-100 bucks a season on, I might just grab this.

Wow. Hadn't heard about that. I lost interest in the show when they did the first movie, but I have the first two seasons and would gladly upgrade them with (and get the next couple seasons of) remastered HD versions.

It's an absolute steal for the current price...great quality packages with plenty of extras to keep you interested (if you are in to the extras).

This is scheduled to be on sale again starting at 3 am (Pacific time I guess?). Doesn't say yet what the price will be.

I rather they invested that HD treatment into Chris Carters "Millennium" which was far superior on all accounts compared to X-files

But Millenium has virtually no name recognition compared to The X Files. X Files was and is an iconic show no matter what one feels about how it succeeded or failed. Even if it was a better show, there's no substantial market for it frown

And yet nearly a year later, IDW is putting out a Millennium comic book in January 2015. They already had Frank Black make an appearance in the recent Season 10 Xfiles comics.
