The main title theme was recorded by Mancini for his RCA Christmas album. It's was the first selection Side 2:

The whole Christmas album was remastered and released in expanded form on RCA/BMG CD and is still available:

The sheet music is still available:

I watched this movie when TCM aired it several months ago, and the Mancini track "Carol For Another Christmas" from his RCA Christmas album wasn't featured in the film at all that I could hear, so unless I'm missing something I think it's an original piece for the Christmas album and isn't the main theme from the movie. Why it shares the same title, I have no idea. Maybe someone else can shed some light on this?

It sounds like the same theme from these samples at Amazon. Just played with different orchestration and harpsichord I think on the Mancini Album. Two versions here, Mancini and Rick Henly with Trumpet. Nice Theme.

I suspect that there were two versions of this film, one for broadcast television and another for international release. But I'm only guessing.

Oops! Clearly the same theme is featured in zooba's linked video (which I didn't watch until just now - sorry for the mix-up), so yeah it's definitely the main theme to the movie. That's odd, because just a generic carol was used in the version I saw on TCM, so I guess there were two versions. There was a previous topic on this before where we discussed the same thing where it seems others saw the same version I did, though judging from my post there it seems I may have heard the theme playing briefly on a radio during a scene toward the end. I just didn't recall it. Ah well. A least it makes a little more sense now.
