I have to agree with Basil, though I admit a fondness for the "love" themes in SWARM and INCHON; among the most banal are the two in QB VII.

I don't think the theme is one of his best per se, but the presentation of it in aural world created for The Wind and the Lion, in it's extremely sweeping and romantic style, certainly makes it sound great. Some of Goldsmith's strongest work for strings. His best love themes tended to be more intimate, such as A Patch of Blue or Babe, something simple for piano. My personal favorite would be the one for Peter Proud.
