It'll be nice to receive and play volume 2 before thinking about volume 3, but that's just me.

i'll certainly get in on this after hearing volume 2 and confirming what's there and what's not. i feel like volume 3 does beg the question on whether one disc should revisit episodes, i think maybe it should. seems like some episode needs a little more filling out. then 3 disc for new episodes per usual.

and as i go through some of them in mind it seems to me whereas volume 1 had slightly more focus on the beautiful and volume 2 slightly more focus on the action and moodiness that perhaps volume 3 might be more quirky music centric. but just my thoughts. in the meantime waiting for the mail is gonna be hard!

I'll suggest: Never Again, Drive, Rain King and Invocation as episodes to be considered.

I'd like to suggest the scores from two episodes I REALLY REALLY want to see released:

Never Again

and

Ghost In The Machine

And again, thanks so much LLL for making our dream of fans come true! ^^

Since it will be a week before receiving that set (unless you already have yours) and since the topic is now current, I think now is the best time, but that's just me. wink

Here is my leftover wish list:

Season 1

Deep Throat
Ghost in the Machine
Shadows

Season 2

Sleepless
Firewalker
Excelsius Dei
Irresistible

Season 3

2shy
apocrypha
Pusher

So far I've got to cross out a lot of episodes on my list (Squeezed, Tooms, Die Hand Die Verletzt, Colony, End Game). On volume 3 I would love to see "Ghost in the machine" the most!

Most of my most sought after have now been covered by the first two sets (although still a bit bummed that more of the great score for "Within" & "Without" -- including that wonderful chase motif that recurs through both eps -- won't see release).

That said, I really hope these eps are covered next volume:
Shadows (the teaser is a must!)
Darkness Falls
Patient X
Essence
Audrey Pauley

En Ami (the dinner scene between Scully and CSM), The Rain King, and Synchrony top my list of 'wants' for Vol. 3.

other notable ones:

Avatar (Skinner and his wife around the 36 minute mark)
Dod Kalm
Audrey Pauley (ending)
Salvage (ending)

Also notable would be the unedited finale of THIS IS NOT HAPPENING smile I love the score of this episode wink

Me too, but like my "Within" & "Without" wish, I don't think we're gonna get repeats from the same eps on subsequent volumes :/ We did get a pretty good selection of music from that ep, though, all the essentials. Though I do recall really liking the score from the scene where Reyes is struggling to not grab a cigarette before she sees a UFO in the distance. Great ep.

I always wondered if the preview commercials for the show during it's run, that almost always used this music, was by Snow:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0t0lhJvTeU

If so, I'd like ot have the full thing.

The music to the swiming pool attack scene in "The Walk", is one I always wanted.

I liked a lot of the music in "Small Potatos", specially the playful closing cue.

And Snow told in a long interview posted in May he did a handful of themes for the show (demos) that were completely different, but not working out, until he discovered the final theme for the show. I'd would be nice to hear those early demos.

It's been so long since I've seen episodes the show, that I can't really suggest more peices.

This might be silly but I've been waiting for a copy of this part of the score for years.

Do we know for sure that it's not on Vol 2 on the TINH track?

I can almost guarantee that the Moby track won't be on any volume; I would imagine the licensing is complicated and expensive.

"This Is Not Happening" is only on Volume 1, and we got the cue where Scully and Skinner are talking about Mulder outside (Scully's Theme on trumpet), and the finale music where Mulder is returned dead and Jeremiah Smith gets taken.

Conduit was one of my favorite first season episodes: its a sensitive treatment to the future mythology arcs; its basically Mulder's obsessive search for his sister reworked with the plot from Close Encounters Of The Third Kind. One cut from the episode ended up on the old Truth And The Light album (which was rife with dialogue) and its easily the best cue (the outro of Mulder sobbing in the church) but there's some nice music from earlier in the episode.

"Can I Get You Some Coffee?" / "They Took Her, Didn't They?" - Mulder and Scully meet the mother of the abducted child and it gently plays with the payoff melody from the finale of the episode.

Library Search - very brief cue, haunting. Not sure if its worth putting to disc but its worth listening to in that episode.

Outro - already discussed here.

I would like to put in a request for music from "Max" Season 4, Ep 18. There is a scene with Mulder boarding a plane in which we hear mysterious piano music. He says, "Hey Scully? My watch just stopped." Suddenly the plane starts shaking and bright lights shine in through the windows. We hear frantic cello and low register piano notes. I have always like that music.

The Wikipedia article is here: "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_(The_X-Files)" Thanks for your consideration!

I would like to get music from Small Potatoes, Bad Blood, Paper Hearts (don't know if all the music from that episode made it to Vol 1), Monday, Three Words, Redux II(the music that plays at the beginning of the episode when Mulder sees Scully's condition in the hospital and is then taken away by FBI agents) and Essence's chase music.

Pretty sure I mentioned in the other thread that 'Max' almost made the cut so it's a prime candidate for Volume 3. There's a great militaristic theme in that episode, as I recall.

'Bad Blood', 'Drive', 'Rain King' almost made the cut, too.

Ha, I was getting This Is Not Happening and Deadalive (Pt 2 of the 2 parter) mixed up.
