Here is a review of the score from the French film score site: cinezik.org http://www.cinezik.org/critiques/affcritique.php?titre=godzilla-2014 A thoughtful, well written review that while generally praising the score, doesn't indulge in the kind of boring hero worship often found around these parts. Enjoy! Personally, I found the score to be both loud AND underwhelming, but I am always interested in a well argued case which the aforesaid review happens to be.

I'm not sure I agree with the review in the above link. WHAT? I can't even read most of these words! What is this guy TALKING about???

Is making fun of another language funny or does it reveal one´s own shortcomings?

Yeah, it is definitely tiring to listen to all the way through. Try shuffling this and The Grand Budapest Hotel once. Crazy.

I like the first 2-3 tracks and the last 2...the stuff inbetween loses me a bit. One can only take so much stompy-stomp music without respite, non? BUT!!! Those 5 tracks I mentioned are bloody great and make the album worthwhile on their own.

On second viewing a near perfect score.
