Well, I just got a copy from a third party on (at a not so high price), as this one is sold out at all the retailers and Bruce didn't have an extra one. The CD took more than a month to be cleared from my country's customs, for an almost 2 month wait. When buying from amazon, the seller wouldn't ship to my country because of previous bad experiences. So, after mailing each other, he decided to take the risk, which, of course, I'm greatly grateful. The CD, the booklet and the case were all in perfect shape.
I don't own neither the Intrada nor the Varese editions, nor I am fan of this or that label. I love all the labels' efforts to give us an outstanding sound and great complimentary liner notes.
I just realized this particular edition had a quite controversial release (just by reading all this thread and as well as here, but hey, it could be also a great way of marketing, I mean it sold out too quickly.
I do appreciate all the positive commentaries which improves my musical knowledge; insults are a bad way to communicate, and personally I don't know why a label owner gets into it; but as I just mentioned, it could be marketing as well.
Anyway, once again, thank to all the speciality labels to bring us such marvelous editions.

I'm not going to even look back at the thread, although I'm sure it would give me a laugh, but THIS label owner got into it because another label owner was casting aspersions on the release before he even had a clew as to what we were doing, how we were doing it, and what it actually sounded like (he later admitted it was the best of all the releases, which, BTW, it is). Label owners, in case you weren't aware, are human beings just like everyone else, which is, occasionally why we go after trolls, several of whom were much in evidence in this particular thread that was linked to.

Same here. While it lacks the romantic tone of the first score, it nonetheless makes it up with Goldsmith's deft use of electronic keyboards integrated within the symphonic texture. Thanks Kritzerland!
