I really enjoy this score and highly recommend it. It stands repeated listens. I play it a couple times a week. Even at 70 plus minutes it keeps your attention. I bought a new Bluray cheap of the movie on Amazon. I wanted to hear the score in the movie. While the story is standard it is well made. Beautiful scenes of German farm country. Some funny scenes. The girl has done poorly on her finals. Her best friend tries to cheer her up by burning the exam. It goes out the school window aflame and lands in the back seat of her teachers old Mustang convertible. It lights other stuff on fire and of course the only thing that survives is part of the test with her name on it! That starts her summer journey to Grandma to study. But she has a special gift to tame a dangerous horse and spends her time learning to ride. Ostwind 3 is ok. Folks Volume one is excellent. All the scores are rich and hold your attention. Very unique composer! I hope SAE gets volume 2.

The opening narrative was rather ridiculous, but thankfully the film becomes grounded after that. It's a gorgeous film, and I found it highly entertaining.
It's still a great score, but the album is too long. Some 20 minutes could have been weeded off for maximum pleasure.
You're probably correct. They can start with the 2 pop songs on the cd. By the way all the pop songs in the movie are in english. Any insight on why the songs would be in english? The movie only seems to be released in German. Chris
