Back in stock at SAE as of 8/9/13!!!!!

Amazing set, 300 copies repressed I believe, get 'em while their supa ;-)

Superman IV is worth at least half the cost alone - lengthy, brilliant score,
you can't even really consider the meager film while playing this one, it's almost
a completely different story all around, and the booklet does a great job assisting
the listener in that.

Thanks for starting the new thread, Goblin! Especially now that my set is on the way (and I don't have to fear missing out), I want everyone that also wants one to know it's available! I also replied to your reply on the original thread.

A new print run does not a new edition make.

That's even if it's a new run, could be leftovers from somewhere.

Hot damn what a great price. I'm amazed they're doing this because I thought it was one of FSM's most consistent sellers...

$59,95 !!! Fantastic price: even if JW's seminal score will probably surface again, this may be the last chance to get SUP II-IV. I'm particulary fond of SUPERMAN IV, with NEW THEMES composed by JW and a TERRIFIC score by the late legendary Sandy Courage.

Stunning ! Anyone who doesn't have a copy of this should beg, borrow or steal the $60 to buy this puppy. Hands down, for me it is the best film score box set I've seen, and overall just the best expanded edition soundtrack to date.

The production of the box is wonderful, the book is beyond words. The best liner notes ever. And the music of course...people who haven't heard the Superman IV score are missing out on the second best Superman score ever. That score is fabulous and seems to still be the best kept secret around. Williams' original is music that I never tire of, it never ever gets old.

Maybe FSM albums were never eligible for Grammy awards, but this baby should have taken awards for the best reissue, best liner notes ( I think they still award those ? ) , it was and is a landmark.

Peoples, don't miss the chance to get this. Maybe it needs a new thread to pimp this limited and super sale. If someone didn't know about the sale and missed it...

At that price, I'm considering buying a backup copy! This is my most prized item in my collection of scores.

I'd really been eyeing this thing lately, but the sale finalized it for me. I finally ordered a copy. Even with shipping included it was less than $10 per disc!

Thank you FSM!

You guys trying this, I hope you love it as much as the rest of us. Supe heaven. There is a part in the notes, for example, where Matessino breaks down the themes structure - it's THAT detailed! Not enough praise can be heaped on.

For me, this is a wonderful sale. I've wanted this since it was released, but I've either been too broke or was living in my car and didn't have the money. What's even better is the timing; if this sale had occured just a week earlier, I would have had to pass on it. I got fired and then about a week or so later re-hired. 50% off (plus two extra pennies off, too, by the way ;-) is too good a price to pass up now that I have a little extra cash. After all, when in the world will I ever come across a price this good again?

I pity the fool who doesn't pick up this amazing box set for half off. This from someone who purchased the first edition at full price.

I had been wanting this for a long, long time. It was fairly easy to assume that this is the best price it probably will ever be, so I have finally ordered it.

Thanks for the sale, SAE! :-)

Hope you enjoy it, Nicholasm79.

The expanded "Superman II" alone makes it worth it. Having "III" and "IV" added isn't bad either.

And of course, hearing tracks like "Main Title" and "The Planet Krypton" sound better than they ever have before is the icing on the cake....

Yes, it's steep but it's a great price regardless all things considered. I have bitten and am really looking forward to listening to this tremendous set.

Thanks, SAE!!!
