Yep, everyone was right, the orchestral cuts are indeed in true stereo. It doesn't sound like it was close-miked, so you don't get really obvious left or right positioning of instruments most of the time, although there ARE noticeable moments when you do. I've bought lots of titles from them. They tend to specialise in re-issuing vintage vocal albums from the 50' - 60's. Click on their catalogue and you'll get the idea. Sometimes, these are transcribed from the original discs, but the quality is always fine. They are reliable and fast. Any comments on the sound quality of this album, CH-CD? George! Is that compilation available on CD? I remember that my LP of it is from United Artists and I bought a second very similar one with different music, and have been looking for both of them on CD since the 1980s! (I bought both LPs around the mid 60s!) Good value. They may get "Windjammer" too. I have a lot of Morton Gould recordings from him as a composer as well as a conductor, sometimes both. He conducts my personal favorite performance of Ravel's Bolero, which sounds quite thrilling with a great sound system. And his "Brass & Percussion," on SACD, is quite scintillating.
