Hey everyone, just heard the complete score recently and not one single person will be surprised to hear from me that it is AWESOME. Where have I heard that before...?

It's such a rousing, epic fantasy score with (as usual for MB) great themes. Also, it's the closest to a rich, symphonic John Williams-type sound we've ever heard from Beltrami, which is just one of the reasons that make this score unique and great. Some of the score sounds like it could have come from darker parts of Harry Potter crossed with Goldsmith's 13th Warrior. Huge choir! Soundtrack release, please!

Real of fake? sounds more like trailer music rather than anything Marco would do... awaiting the confirmation, though. Says video has been removed by user. Not a good indication it's legit.

I'm just finished running a test screening of an upcoming film called The Seventh Son. One of those last minute projectionist calls, where we don't know anything about the film until we see it. Can anyone confirm if Marco Beltrami completed the score? What I heard doesn't sound like a temp track and sounded f'ing amazing to my ears. Like "Holy Sh*t, what an unexpected surprise!" It's lush like some of the broad fantasy scores we used to hear. Some "Drums of War" samples here and there, but this effort is far from the droning, numbed out sound we've come to expect from post 9/11 films. The score has Themes! Plural! Loads of strings and chorus. Imagine a cross between Hellboy and Debney/Kaska's LAIR! Barring no changes, fans of old school, fantasy orchestral scoring will be happy! It's the best score I've heard in years. IMDB says the film is set for a February, 2015 release date. Looking forward to hopefully a 70+ min album. The cut screened today clocks in at 102mins and is scored nearly wall to wall, so the album's gonna need the full packing. The complete sound mix is just a bit overscored IMHO, but nicely balanced. It was nice to hear non-Zimmer textures under even some lengthy dialogue scenes. The whole score plays like a narrative we used to follow in film and album back in the day. Looking forward!
